A trendy eat establishment. Serving craft beer and craft cocktails. The only shipping container bar outdoor patio in the area!
We shared a couple wonderful appetizers, and each of us enjoyed our main course!Beverage choices were widely wonderful, brews and wines. So nicely selected I want to use that pompous phrase, curated! Our son loved his craft beer selection, as spouse and I enjoyed our red and white wine choices.Service was wonderful with Ms Angelina, attentive and never obtrusive.Ambiance was warm and almost clubby with the seating in the bar area. The kind of feel good place the Guide Michelin would rate as âworth a detour!âOnly one photo: our wonderful waitress, whose tee shirt spelled âbaconâ as a compound from the periodic table of elements. I rate this as MIT cool.

My family and I gave this place a try tonight after checking trip advisor reviews. Place has HUGE menu with many options. The fish fry was of nice proportions and the sides tasted great. My husband said the fish fry was among his top 3 that he has ever had. My son and I each had a burger and we were very satisfied. Just wish they offered different beer flight options. Our waitress was very nice and gave great recommendations. But oddly, waitresses around us seemed unhappy with one another or something. They'd talk near our table and then leave, passing our table saying something disgruntled under their breaths.

We went as a couple for our anniversary in April 2019. It is a cute place. Our waitress was very nice and attentive. The food was very average, especially for the price. My steak was served WELL instead of medium. My husbands steak was services MED-WELL instead of medium rare. However they were fairly high quality steaks so they were still tasty. They gave us a free dessert for the inconvenience and did offer to prepare a new steak, however we didn't want to wait. We might try it again b/c of the customer service.

Small Plates. Casual & Classy.
Went here after dinner for drinks and delighted to find it was like open mic night for local talent. Several quite good musicians, predominately on guitar. Only gripe was the ran out of Spotted Cow - shame on you!Would come back for this experience or try dinner next time.

The staff was very attentive and friendly. The dill baked cod was delicious. The german potato salad was excellent. Not too vinegry as some are the sauce nicely carmelized. Nice pieces of bacon browned just right the potatoes cooked just right not to firm or too soft. The red cabbage was cooked very nice as eell. Not too soft or too hard but am dente. The fish was covered with lemon sliced with fresh sprigs of dill. There was ample butter for dipping the fish into. The clam chowder was obviously home made. A deep cream color not all white and pale. I could taste the bacon in it. All true quality clam chowder should have bacon or salt pork in it. There was ample clams and the potatoes were cooked just right. The fish fry my husband had was very good as well 4 pieces of fish thinly battered. With a bake potato. The come slaw was tasty. The rye bread and dinner rolls were warm and fresh. The rye was a nice german marble rye. The fish was flaky and flavorful. The waitress liked my tattoos. I was a little self conscious because I had a lip lift a day earlier and I looked like I had a bloody nose. She said well next time I want to see your smile. They were busy but moved people through quite promptly. We will be back again. I had been there several years earlier and the German nachos were excellent. I had also tried the Sauer Braten. Being of German heritage to eat food my mother used to cook was a real treat. I look forward to trying the schnitzel.Thank you Smartiecook for your excellent review. How incredibly flattering of you to make positive note of our relaxed environment, delicious food, and amazing staff. We strive to keep great customers like you coming back again. Thanks for your recommendation, Smartiecook!!
We stopped for a quick bite to eat on our way home from Milwaukee. I read some reviews and thought it would be a good stop. I ordered the California burger and my boyfriend ordered the Mushroom & Swiss. We waited about 15 minutes for them to arrive and I thought my burger was good they were big in size. My boyfriend didn't like his Mushroom & Swiss, he stated it didn't have good flavor. We decided that we don't have to go there again because it was just ok. Thank you for your review ! We strive for satisfied customers and have taken your comment about our Mushroom Swiss burger back into the kitchen and have made changes to improve the flavor. Our mushrooms are fresh, sliced in our kitchen and sautéed in butter. We have added a few ingredients to add more flavor. Thank you for bringing this to our attention !! We hope that if you are in the area you will stop in and give our NEW Mushroom Swiss burger a try !!

We stopped by Brothers for a late Sunday breakfast. We were given coffee and menus right away and had asked for water. The server was a senior citizen, obviously a part-time employee. She came back to take our order, and no water. We reminded her again. We both placed orders for breakfast and ordered a cinnamon roll to be served to be split between us while we were awaiting our meals. After a long wait, we finally received two glasses of water. After another long wait, I reminded our server about the cinnamon roll she had promised us. It was obvious that she had warmed our roll with butter and then left it in the kitchen forgetting it. After we received our breakfast meals, our roll arrived with the melted butter now turned cold. We won't be back any time soon. Good servers must be hard to come by in Kewaskum.

I am choosy about what I eat. This place was happy to make substitutions. The cod was lightly breaded and shrimp done right. Food served hot. Best of all, a can do attitude.

Gateway Cafe Provides Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner And Catering Services to the Kewaskum, WI Area.
We were in the area and looking for a family friendly place to have lunch. We relied on our trusty TripAdvisor app to help us out. Kudos to the TripAdvisor users on this one. Great recommendations that did not disappoint! From the moment we walked in the door we were greeted with a welcome and friendly faces. I typically like to give credit to the people that served us but unfortunately I forgot our waitresses name. Very friendly and helpful. Kept the drinks full and made sure everything was good. Everyone though was great! They all gave it that small hometown diner feel. All of the food was good and the homemade desserts looked great but we just didnât have the room for dessert. If Iâm the area again we are going to make it a point to return we enjoyed everything so much.

My husband, grandson and I used the Localflavor voucher that I purchased. My husband had the build your own burger, my grandson had the hangover burger (which I'm going to order next time) and I had the perch dinner. Everything was very good. We live in Pewaukee and it was worth the drive.
