Have been going to Keokuk for work for years. Have stopped here often and over the 18 years it has been consistently good. I recommend the Chicken Cordon Bleu. Fresh and crisp. The fries are freshly made and excellent. Worth the stop.
See what the Colonel's cooking at your local KFC. Stop in today and enjoy our world famous chicken - it's Finger Lickin' Good!
Stopped there on Thursday evening for dinner while traveling through the area for work. Ordered from the Long John's Silver menu. Had the 2 chicken with 1 fish dinner with 2 sides. I chose fries and onion rings as my sides. First, they don't have fries at this location, they have potato wedges, which were cold. The gave me 4 onion rings, how is 4 considered even a side? The 2 hush puppies that were in the box were harder than a damn brick and very dried! About the only thing that was decent was the chicken and fish. Needless to say, this was one of the worse LJS meals I've had in a long time!
This little bar just a half block off of the main drag in Keokuk, IA has some very good burgers! I was "down home" recently, I grew up about 30 miles from Keokuk, and a friend of mine asked me if I wanted a good burger. Never missing a chance at a good burger, I agreed to go with him to a little bar that has been in Keokuk for as long as I can remember. The 1/2 lb burgers are hand formed fresh to order, be prepared to wait. I had a bacon cheeseburger with cheddar and fries. A very good, juicy burger that will fill you up. I'm not a smoker and the bar has a smoked in smell, that's the only reason I didn't give this place the max score, the food is terrific!!

It was hard to fine a place to eat in Keokuk on a Friday night but we stumbled upon this place. The Salisbury steak was good along with the mashed potatoes with gravy. The Rueben was good and French fries hot! Service was friendly and quick. It might not be our regular type place to eat but for what it is (down home cooking) it was very good.

Completely remodeled in June of 2013. For casual dining at its best with a fresh 33 item salad bar, soup bar, and extensive menu with sensational service. Friday night includes our Seafood Lover's Buffet and Saturday features a Prime Rib and BBQ Rib Buffe
Overall good experience glad I went. Went on a Friday for the seafood buffet comes with 1lb of snow crab then all you can eat the for the rest. The crab cakes blew me away and the crab was perfectly cooked can't beat it for 18 bucks. At first was hesitant cause I was waiting 5plus min for someone to seat me when it wasn't very busy, but once seated the service was on spot.

We stayed in our camper for about three months this summer and went to the Fort Worth Cafe several times. The breakfast is always good. They have several options for lunch with several sides to choose from. My husband loves the burnt ends. You can buy meat to go. Very nice people and great service.

The server was very friendly and she kept the glasses full. The melas were a little more expensive than average but not to bad. A funny thing was that all entrees include 2 sides unless otherwise noted and almost all the entrees had somthing else listed. They cook your meat to order which is great I hate an overdone piece of meat. We were in town for an event so this was our 1st visit. I would go back again.

Stayed in town one night on the way to northern Iowa for a family reunion. Walked here from our motel. We both had the pork tenderloin sandwich, with fries. Sat in the bar area. Good selection of beers and drinks. Sandwiches were great, breaded , fried tenderloin. There is also a nice looking salad bar, we did not have this, but did look it over. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone passing through Keokuk. Good location right next door to the Walmart.
