Visited here several times during my stay in Kaohsiung. The staff did a great job of making you feel at home. A good place to get some good food, and have some good drinks. Will definitely be visiting again on my next trip. Dave, Show, Follo, Sunny, & Michelle are really good people!

We highly recommend this restaurant/ pub to anyone in Kaohsiung. Food was excellent. Western style food with great flavour. One of the best burgers I have had anywhere. Great combination of different cheeses and bacon built right into the burger rather than on top (the 50-50 burger). Menu had a lot of choice. Great beer selection and very friendly staff. Atmosphere was friendly and cozy. Very much the pub that you want to go back to every weekend (in fact we ate there twice during our stay in Kaohsiung).

We came here on a Monday night for dinner. The restaurant was extremely quiet, and the staff spaced the guests out so it seemed like no one else was even there. The waiter was very attentive and the food arrived quickly. Appetizers we had asparagus salad and the scallop dish. For the main course we shared a 12 ounce New York strip and got creamed spinach and a loaded baked potato. The banana cream pie for dessert was incredible! We also got a free slice of cake as it was my partners birthday. The one negative I had was that once we had finished the meal the waiter never appeared again to bring us the bill, and then as we were leaving we were made to wait for the bill at the register.

Designer restuarant featured above the luxury GRAND HI-LAI Hotel, which offers an international variety of restuarants for lavish meals. Next door is a Lobster bar and teppanyeki.ENVIRONMENT Steak House Affording maximum comfort, sumptious cuisine and romantic scenery from the 45F, this is probably the highest steakhouse in Kaohsiung. The night views of the city and mountains are awesome and fantastic! The style is luxury, refined, sophisticated, fancy, expensive and authentic. Private functions rooms also available.SERVICEFrom the moment one steps out the elevator on the 45F, a staff of the restaurant level operations will welcome guests and guide them to their respective culinary destinations. The staff at the steakhouse were professional, efficient and polite.FOODDELICIOUS! Just the aroma from the grill sets the stomach juices in full motion, watering our mouths in anticipation of the feast. The steak was juicy, tender and packaged neatly with the prawn and scallop. The juices would blend into each other extruding extra flavor and essence. The salad spread offers high quality greens and the dessert bar looks just as inviting too. Pity could not try them all.SUMMARYHIGH-END, HIGH-SITUATED, STEAK HOUSEâ¦..HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Pizza and beer were a welcome find after sightseeing and eating Chinese for a couple weeks. This place could be straight out of California if not for the location near the arts district in Kaohsiung. The pizza was good and reasonable. A bakery is attached if it is too busy to eat here. The beer selection is lacking, but was cold.

We ate here for lunch while staying in the hotel, and the food was fine. The menu options were a little limited, though, and I'd like to see more choices.

Located on the second floor (stairs), nIce atmosphere, looks like a high quality place. Menu is mostly sets: Lobster & prime steaks ($1300-$2800), non-prime steaks ($500-$900) some Italian (spaghetti/risotto dishes ($400-$600). Sets include salad, soup, desert, main course, drink choice. A la carte menu had some additional choices. I ordered the seafood risotto with truffles ($580) plus an a la carte scallop and salmon roe ($320). Everything was presented nicely (top chef style with highlight touches on everything). Delicious filling meal. The seafood was tempura, lots of truffles, fresh asparagus. The scallops were nicely seared with little piles of caviar on top also with fresh asparagus. Limited selection of drinks - 1 beer, a few wines, some mixed drinks assorted teas, milk coffee, coke. Salad had fruit, a little meat, some walnuts, lettuce, tomato, raisins. Seemed like professional wait staff - very attentive although not much English. All in all I thought it was a very nice meal. Bathroom had American style toilets.
