The menu is small but the specials hit the spot. The chicken pot pie was one of the best I've had. The meatloaf tasted great also. Everything else going to other tables smelled wonderful. It was a nice spot after a long day at Story Land.

we stop here everytime we are up in the area, live music is usually great though it can be loud if you sit on that level, The loft is better but the floor is not too solid when folks walk by. Food is very good and consistent.

Found this on trip advisor and were lucky enough to be there on a Wednesday when they do 2 entrees for the price of one. Prime slow roasted steak and mixed grill with local draft beer in a packed bar listening to a ceilidh band - what more could you want? Apple and raspberry pie great too.Main surprise to us as English visitors was that the band packed up at 8.30 and the place was empty by 9.Wow - really psyched you had such a great time with us on Wednesday - very happy you loved the food and The White Mountain Ceili Band!!! They are awesome. They play every other Wednesday with us....lol.....an empty American bar at 8:30 - yes Wednesday nights are usually slow - usually we're rocking much later but not on Wednesdays. Safe travels home and come visit again!!!! Did you see the English Rugby Jersey???

Given the mostly glowing reviews, we were surprised and disappointed with the quality of the food here. Nothing at all creative about the dinner menu. Salads consisted of limp lettuce with a couple of supermarket-quality grape tomatoes and cucumber slices - a sin during the height of summer produce season! Salmon and chicken breasts were overcooked and accompanied by identical, generic rice and vegetables. The ambiance is nice and the staff is friendly and energetic. The porch is pleasant on a nice night. And the food wasnât terrible. But given that there creative and energetic dining rooms elsewhere in Jackson, I wouldnât make dinner here a priority.

Booked soon after our arrival in Jackson on the recommendation of the owner of the nearby Snowflake Inn.Our waitress, Isabelle was really helpful in explaining the menu and I chose the lobster salad as a starter and my wife the smoked salmon....both were delicious.Main course selection was equally satisfying with my wife having the creole shrimps and I had the salmon.Wine selection was good and the price was on a par with most of the other places weâve eaten at during this holiday.Very formal atmosphere in the dining room, but clearly some guests prefer this.An extremely good meal, but one of the more expensive ones weâve had on this holiday.Thank you so much for choosing our restaurant for your evening dining and of course to Sue at The Snowflake for recommending us. I am very pleased to read that you enjoyed your dinner with us and your kind words towards Isabelle your waitress will be shared with her so that she may be recognized for her efforts. Thank you again and I hope you are enjoying the remainder of your trip through New England.SincerelyEleanor KoeppelOwner and General Manager

It was late and we wanted something lighter so we opted for salads with shrimp and mine with chicken. It was a specialty salad and it was very good though there was a little too much dressing which made the salad a little soggy near the end. Lots of people so it must be a popular place with locals. Very casual. Excellent service. Good place to stop for a casual meal.

Dined here this evening on our inn keepers (CNI) recommendation. A lovely casual yet fine dining experience. A buzzy atmosphere with attentive staff and a farm to table menu. We had the risotto and the pasta dishes. Both were delicious. Outstanding service from the staff and a very welcoming approach by Kate the co-owner. Would not hesitate to recommend or go back. Well done THE!

We've been here a few times to shop and have brought home the marinated chicken, breakfast sausage and different flavors of the regular sausage. We enjoyed them all. We stopped in recently for breakfast. It's an order at the counter and have the food brought to you kind of place. We went with a breakfast wrap, a slice of the meat quiche and the breakfast potatoes. It was all good and I would definitely return. Service was friendly as well.

Our guiding principle for the Innâs restaurant has always been authenticity, quality and a sense of fun. Surrounded by a team that shares these values, our restaurant has become well-known for its original cuisine, craft cocktails and home-made desserts.
We arrived early for our booking, attentive welcome and prompt seating. Good advice offered around menu selections. We ordered starters and mains (entrees). Starters arrived and were as described as well as delicious. However, half way through our starters our main dishes arrived. The server acknowledged they were early but then just left them on the table. We were very surprised to say the least. We had to call the server back and explain that we did not want our mains halfway through our first course. They took them away immediately. Once we had finished our starters, about ten minutes later, the same mains reappeared (not newly cooked but clearly poorly kept warm). A this point we were passed complaining. The pork dish was nice but the duck was only warm and poorly cooked (very raw in places). We passed on our experience to our local Inn keepers who had recommended the restaurant to us. We are truly sorry that your entrée was served before you finished your appetizer and that you were not happy with your meal. Although it is not always easy to time delivery (some people eat faster and others slower), the server should not have served your entrée without clearing your appetizers first. It is all about timing, especially on a busy night, and it looks like we got it wrong. The duck is cooked medium rare and pink in the middle, unless otherwise requested. However, it should be hot when served. Sorry that it was not. Thanks for your feedback, we have already communicated your feedback with our team.
