The population was 804 at the 2010 census, down from 828 at the 2000 census. Meals are posted on a dry erase board, they include soup or salad, bread and the house wine. Wonderful food, had the calamari steak, highly recommended.
Three out of four Tuesday mornings in a month, my husband and I and a group of friends meet in an upper room of the Deli for St Jeromeâs Study group. We use my iPhone to connect with another person in Carmichael. Jolly and Glen have made this possible. They serve great muffins, bagels, and breakfast sandwiches. And, the coffee is so good. Other times Iâve been there with friends for one of their great Sandwiches. This is an all around welcoming place to be and nosh. I highly recommend.

Small town diner with urban-retro decor, located on busy corner of Hwy. 12 at the traffic light. Large parking lot. Open 6AM - 2PM Breakfast served all day. Booth seating and large tables for groups up to 10. Breakfast favorites, pancakes, French toast, o
My friends and I visited for lunch after not going for a long time. Service was good this visit and the food came faster than it has in the past. We are glad to have this little diner in Rio Vista because it is clean and decorated so cute inside. I am giving it a four for those reasons as the food is rather ordinary. If you are passing through town, stop and have breakfast or an early lunch. Keep in mind it closes at 2:00 pm so not really a diner!

This is an excellent "hole in the wall" Cafe. Their breakfast is to die for! I'd love to write a review in it and post a picture of their awesome retro Sign! The sign sayd "Striper Cafe" and has a big fish on it.
Very large portions in all their meals. The Ham Steak breakfast is probably the largest I've ever seen. Service was excellent. We always have to go there at least once when we are in the Delta.

This is a fascinating historical place to dine. There are stuffed heads (and bodies) adorning the walls. Don't go if you have an aversion to the killing of wildlife for sport. But, this is historic. These animals were killed years ago, when big game hunting was considered exciting and just fine! I am always amazed that they are kept so well preserved, and I, who have major allergies, am not bothered by the atmosphere at all. Most children seem fascinated and not frightened. The food is fine. Only once have I been underwelhemed by the ribs, so hard I couldn't bite into them. Everything else is good. I understand that the buffalo burgers are great! The bar is great. People come from all over to eat here because of the historical ambience. Love the huge elephant head. (CASH ONLY)

The restaurant overlooks the Sacramento River and has a docking area, but is in need of some updating. My wife had the fish and chips and would not eat the cole slaw. One daughter had the fish tacos and the other daughter had a salad. Neither daughter was overwhelmed. My grandson had the swordfish and ate every bite. I had a philly cheesesteak that was average. The beer and curley fries were great. The service was very good.

We met family here for lunch one weekend. We had been here several years back and thought to give it a try again.Food was just so-so - and orders were not all correct (Onion rings on one sandwich instead of the ordered fries). Imagine this is a hopping place at night on the weekends. Boat slips allow boaters to pull right up to the restaurant for a lunch stop, so pretty handy. But in the day light you can see that the place is pretty run down - and there was a bit of a sewer smell near the entrance (did NOT have that out on the deck area) All in all, yes, we would go back if the situation presented itself, but sure would not make a special trip.

THE BEST BURGERS ON THE DELTA! We have a Tiki/ Rock and Roll themed Bar and Grill with a FULL BAR, old school arcades, boat parking, pool table all ON THE WATER!! We're awesome! Come visit us!
We ate tonight at the new Lighthouse Bar & Grill. They've only been open two weeks and there were no customers when we arrived tonight (Monday), but others came while we were there. They've been open the last two weekends and the parking area has been packed, and now we see why. It's a salads and burger place but the burgers were GREAT and creative and everything was fresh and tasty. We wish these guys nothing but great success!

If you're boating on the Delta and want to stop for something tasty, this is the place. And they have a great bar. We had a very salty waitress that made us laugh the whole time. We were a party of 36 and they handled our orders well! Make sure to try the Delta Punch!!

Back in December we had visited this restaurant with another couple and were not at all pleased as indicated by our review of that visit. This time we found the food AND the service to be excellent. And interestingly enough the restaurant was a lot busier than during our previous visit. All four of us enjoyed the evening and will be returning.
