Same location, different owners. Stopped by here on teh 4th night of being opened. They only had 3 employees, including the 2 owners, husband and wife. It was Saturday evening and the bar was almost full, dining area about half. We waited close to 45 minutes for our food. As they just opened, we wish them luck and hope that very soon they will be thriving. At the time of the visit, they were only accepting cash but there was not notice on the door and they were not able to provide a receipt for our dinner. The food was okay, the atmosphere is nice but very loud. The owner stopped by our table and told of their plans to open a rooftop bar and outdoor seating next year. So we will try again next year when we are back up north at our cabin.

Most people would drive right by this little GEM - But they have a Bar and Restaurant serving simple food including Pizza, Burgers, Wings, Etc. Great place to bring the family in my opinion. I had a Burger and Onion Rings and it was one of the best burgers I've had in a long time.I understand the place is under new management too so I would expect more changes are coming as I was told the entire menu is new as of next week. I visited on 5/4/16.

We stopped in tonight for dinner and were so disappointed. We went with my folks who had been there before, but it was terrible tonight. We waited about 5-10 minutes to be seated. We waited 5-10 more once seated to have a server come take our drink and food order. This is a small place and that type of delay without acknowledgement is unacceptable. We ordered an appetizer and it was very skimpy. When it arrived, The waiter said he would be bringing the rest of the appetizer shortly--he never did. Our food arrived and my dads burger was not what was ordered. The took it back to the kitchen swapped the toppings and brought the Same lukewarm burger and fries back. When the server finally came to check on us we were finished and I said "I never got the rest of my appiyizer order so I assume you won't charge me". He said that it was already entered in so... Then he said he'd buy us a beer next time we were in. Are you kidding? This person has no business being in the restaurant business. The food was marginal. It was a terrible experience and we won't be back. Next time we will try another restaurant in town. I get that things happen, but it is how you deal with them that can take a terrible experience to one were we would be willing to give them another shot. Fail.We would like to apologize for your recent disappointing experience. We continuously strive to ensure that our food and service exceed your expectations and it is disappointing to us as well that this was the experience you had. The response to you in our restaurant is unacceptable and I can assure you that we will be addressing this. I understand that you have several options for dining and we appreciate both your and your parents' business. I would like to invite you back as my guest to please give us another chance as this is not anywhere near our standard of food or service. Nice local pub that also serves food. They really make you feel at home and are quite friendly and even the patrons seem friendly. My only disappointing thing is the food could be better quality. Ingredients don't taste fresh. Decent quantity and in the mornings there is a coffee shop on the other side and the coffee is decent and coffee beans are a micro roast from Duluth. Probably the best coffee in town.

Stayed at the Appledornâs Resort. This restaurant is on the property. It is a nice place. However, we were disappointed to learn it was closed Mondays and Tuesdays..... when we were here staying. There were many people who wanted to eat here and they were closed those days in the height of the summer season. This was frustrating.

We held a fun dinner party for nine relatives at the Wahkon Inn on Thurs. 23 June in the semi-private dinning room. Half the party chose the Walleye dinner and the other half had the ribs. The smiles told that we were all happy with our selections and the price was right. Many locals were enjoying their evening socializing by the bar and in the main dinning room. The waitress did a fine job with our orders and helped take photos of our group. We would go back again.

We stopped after fishing, the food and drink we're good and reasonably priced. They have a great juicy Lucy. I recommend it with sweet potato fries. Overall good experience.

We were here with another couple at about 10:00 a.m. on a Sunday morning. We all had breakfast and it was excellent. This is a bar/restaurant with local patrons overlooking Lake Mille Lacs. Although they were busy, our server was prompt and friendly. Our party had omelets, french toast, and eggs. Everything was tasty and served per our orders. The portions were plentiful and the prices were fair. The decor is unique and eclectic. We had a nice experience at Toucan's.

Stopped here on a rainy day in July hoping to enjoy some fun and relaxation and some great pizza as well. However, the lanes were closed and also they couldn't make any pizza as their power was out and they didn't have a backup generator. Too bad, we will try again very soon.

Took a day trip to visit friends in Isle and they took us to Muggs for lunch. We were a group of four and all of the food ordered were generous portions and very tasty. The taco salad was enormous. The bartender/waiter/cook was very friendly and accommodating. Definitely worth the stop.Thank you for stopping in, I am glad you enjoyed yourselves, hopefully we will see you again soon. - Rob
