We ate lunch here twice. On the first visit both my partner and I had walleye sandwiches which were very tasty. I really like their tartar sauce. On our second visit I had the seafood basket and my partner had a burger. Again, very satisfying. .
The River is open to the public and is located only a mile west of International Falls. Beautiful views of the Rainy River from all tables and multiple decks for outdoor dining with a view. Try our specialty cocktails- many made with local spirits. Our me
This new restaurant is located on a golf course with beautiful views of the Rainy River. The inside is warm and comfortable with a log cabin feel along with a large place area. The menu is small but all the items are perfectly described and the presentation is excellent. A special drink menu is available, good choice of wines, beers and spirits. Service is excellent. Definitely worth a visit.

Meh. Beautiful view. That's the best thing this place has going for it. We ordered two burgers and a beer. A bottle of Elysian Spacedust was $6.50, which was insane. My black and bleu burger didn't have any blackened seasoning on it or the sauce it was supposed to come with. My bf ordered a burger and it didn't have the chipotle mayo he ordered either but he requested it again after the burger arrived. The cheese curds were ok but the sauce was not so I asked for a side of house made ranch which was good. The fries were from the freezer and just ok. When I ordered my burger, I asked for it to be done medium. The waitress reassuringly replied that that's how they do all their burgers. There wasn't one spot of pink on either of our burgers. They weren't dry but definitely were not medium. The bartender was friendly and the service was pleasant. The prices in general were steep. It was $3 for 2 strips of bacon to be added to my bf's burger. (And it was $12 for a hot dog, which we didn't get.)Also, upon arriving the set up is weird. There is a sign for the lobby or for the bar but not a general entrance for the restaurant. The bathroom was clean. I don't think we shall return. I would recommend this as a nice place to stop for an expensive drink while taking in the views, but nothing more.

We really werenât sure what to expect when walking in because the restaurant was empty. The server was very friendly and quick to answer questions and the establishment was very clean. Food was very well priced and tasted delicious. Before we left, the place had nearly filled up.

I had the blackened fish dinner with herbed potatoes and a salad and it was delicious. The fish was cooked perfectly and was very well seasoned. The service was great. We really enjoyed the popover with honey butter, it was like having desert with your dinner.

Prior to our family's house boat rental on Rainy Lake, we opted to eat supper at Border Bar because the marina staff had recommended this eatery. So glad we did. The location is in downtown, has a friendly staff, and really good pizza. The pizza restaurant and a separate bar serving drinks are in the same location, but owned as separate entities. My hubby, nephew and I walked through to the bar and ordered some local beer to go with our pizza. Really enjoyed our oversized pepperoni pizza and beer. You order your pizza from the friendly folks at the window near the front door. The staff brings you the pizza when it is ready.

Heard good things about this place but I had to wait until 4pm to get a pizza. A nice thin crust veggie of medium size was my order. I had to wait awhile because two large families ordered just before I walked in but that's how it goes. They have a small salad bar and a nice environment with a small bar. The pizza was good but cross cut as opposed to the traditional pie like cut which made eating it a bit of a challenge. Next time I'll ask if they can cut it like a pie.Every body does something different and you just have to roll with it.

Full service dining room and lounge with beautiful views of Rainy Lake.
I just got back from a wonderful breakfast! I love a good walleye breakfast and with Grandmas gone I'm glad to see it at the T-Bird. They not only have one choice but two. The traditional and an amazing walleye bene with spinach! Our server was very personal and friendly but needed to be more versed on her menu. The prices were very reasonable priced and did see the dinner menu, will be trying that next. The place was packed. Good Luck to the new owners and it was great to see a business owner actually work their own business!

I arrived and sat at the counter to order breakfast items to go. While I was waiting, they poured me a complimentary cup of coffee. They were busy this day, so service was slower than usual, but I was in no hurray. Some years ago my niece had Sandy deliver Meals to my elder, somewhat disabled sister. The cafe did an excellent job. This is a down home excellent family style restaurant. Always good; always steady!
