Promises homemade cooking with the emphasis on Granmas cooking. The only thing is it's not. It's frozen chips, frozen breadcrumbed fish. Very disappointing, that said there is very little else in town if you want to eat. Very good service albeit disappointing food.

We stopped here because not much else was open in town at the time. The proprietor was rude to us and the food was average. She engaged in a highly inflammatory political conversation with some other patrons which made us want to ditch our food and leave. In the words of Dory, âJust keep swimmingâ right on past to the next town.
A pub for locals and visitors, located in Honokaa on the Big Island. The Honokaa Pub features great food, drink, live music and karaoke. A Family Owned Business, focused on supporting the broader Honokaa Ohana with a great and affordable place to meet, ea
We love coming here for some beers and good food! Awesome atmosphere, fun events, and great pizza. They also have a good French dip.

We stopped in thinking Ice cream and burger type place.... NOTHING like that. It was dirty. Obviously trying to stay alive. I felt bad, but the place didn't look all that clean. The Fried Mahi was YELLOW, like banana yellow...??? huh?? THE french fries were AWESOME. But that was it. Weird menu. I couldn't get a basic GRILLED CHEESE. I mean there is bread on their menu, and cheese....helllloooo? The gentleman behind me wanted 3 grilled cheeses..>NOPE.... not allowed. I had french fries (yum) my husband had the fried mahi plate and it came with RICE (huh??) and Macaroni salad (double huh????) Just terrible. Nope. Keep it. It seems to stay alive only due to the kids after school. We were there right when the kids were dismissed in town and many stopped by for something. Don't waste your time or money. Cost $14. give or take a few pennies for one Mahi plate and a small fry, no drinks nothing. NOW if it was really good, heck YEAH...but to eat on dirty tables, and feel like the fish was dyed.... NOPE. AND NO ICE CREAM!
