Serving up a variety of BURGERS, SANDWICHES, SALADS and SHAKES. All made in-house, fresh to order daily. Locally owned.
Barbecue bowl was tasty, added the fried egg, along with a fried cauliflower side plus a tasty milkshake. All good lots of different flavors, kale, wheat berries, pineapple, black beans, sweet potatoes and barbecue seasoned to please. Sister in law likes the curry bowl. Can add meat items if desired for extra. Parents have had a burger and chicken sandwich which they said was ok...the bowls are the way to go per my family.
Donât be turned off by the outside. We went inside & WOW...what an awesome selection. Iâd recommend the whitefish smoked chowder. Wish I could have bottled it & brought it home!!! Hubby had the whitefish sandwich with fries & they were more than generous with everything. Most definitely a Must Stop for our next trip. Youâll find it behind Petersonâs Fish Market across the road for the Quincy Mines.

We were visiting the area for Winter Carnival since our daughter is a freshman at Michigan Tech. We came in on Saturday for lunch. The place was only about half full. We ordered sandwiches and waited, and waited..... It took almost an hour to get our order. The food was just okay. I ordered a BLT and it had two pieces of bacon on it. The whole sandwich was less that an inch thick, including the bread. The only thing that was good were the french fries. We will not return.

Close to 100 teas for you to choose from; housemade quiches, soups, cakes and other bakery; lunches, snacks or all of the splendor of Full Afternoon Tea. Comfort foods in winter and fresh salads in summer. Always a little different than everyone else. Com
Their tea selection was beyond my wildest dreams. Loved the chocolate chai our gracious server suggested. It paired perfectly with the orange scones served with cream and lemon curd. The table setting, subuded lighting, bold wall finishes, complemented sipping their tantalizing tea from bone china tea cups. It was a perfect setting for celebrating friendship. Thanks for the kind words! So happy you enjoyed it!

American with a Finnish influence. Also a bakery.
What a nice place this is. A feel of hometown USA to this Yorkshire Lass. Seat yourself. Friendly service. Good uncomplicated food. The breakfast menu is terrific. Hurry though. The pasties sell out fast!

Yep-a Tuesday fish fry! Pollack and very large portions!! My husband and I each ordered 3 pieces to start. Could not finish the entire entree. A lot of very good, lightly battered fish. You could taste the fish as the batter was very light-not the heavy deep-fried kind. Very very good. Will return.

We spent the day on the Keweenauw Peninsula and after driving back from the beauty across "the bridge", we drove back into Houghton looking for a nice cooked meal. We settled on the Ambassador because of the variety of food there. We got the pizza and loved it, sat at a big window looking out over the canal, and just soaked up the energy of this popular hangout - lots of young people (presumably from Michigan Tech) really made the place fun and lively. Our waitress was cute and friendly and made us feel welcome and answered all our questions about how to pronounce the unpronouncable UP names... great place to stop you will not be disappointed!

A casual restaurant in downtown Houghton, specializing in Wood-Fired foods, served alongside cold beer, interesting wine & creative cocktails."
The bacon wrapped meatloaf, Croque Madame sandwich and Aha Tuna Salad were favorites with our family. However the pan seared scallop was not worth the price, the one scallop with surf and turf option was a better deal. Service was slow to start due to a busy Friday night and one waiter was a no show. That initial service needs to be faster for drinks, however the food was delivered very promptly. Our family would try this restaurant again since we enjoyed the different food options. Strongly recommend to the management to get your wait staff to the tables sooner.
