I took a group of 8 people to Trostels after a meeting. The menu was not your usual Iowa based fare. We had an eclectic selection of dishes. Most of the folks attending were meat and potatoes folks. They didnât know what to expect. Well... in the end they were pleasantly surprised! Regardless of what we ordered the dood was delicious and truly savory. Itâs worth the visit. For those of you from out of state and live in a larger metro area, this is worth a visit. Staff is friendly. Management is very accommodating. You have nothing to lose by trying Trostels.

This is a great family place to eat. The steaks our fantastic. You can view the steak selection as you walk in the restaurant.We were seated properly with fresh baked rolls and butter. The cold beer was brought to us shortly after ordering it. The menu has a diverse selection offerings. My wife enjoyed the Herb Crusted Chicken Breast with fresh veggies and a Caesar salad. I enjoyed the 16 oz Sirloin cutter medium to perfection with Green Beans and Steak Fries. I also enjoyed a Caesar salad. The wait staff is well trained, attentive, and prompt. The manager made her rounds to ensure customers were enjoy their food. This is our new steak house!!!

Iâm really impressed! I just went in to check out the place, because Iâd heard good things. I was offered a sample of the chicken strips and it was AWESOME! I ended up buying a 3 pack of strips, all white meat, solid pieces. And big! Clean. Very friendly staff. Family friendly. Lot parking. Good prices. TONS of offerings. See pics. CyHawkApproved. This is a tiny place with charm and outstanding food! We were pleasantly surprised. The portions a large and oh so delicious- they have healthy and oh so unhealthy but heavenly options- the food was outstanding! The wait staff was a delight and very helpful with our picky health conscious group- and others in our group who wanted not so healthy options. The coffee was so tasty like we were at a coffee shop- and we had refills before we even asked. The wait staff was a joy! we will definitely go back well worth the drive from West Des moines -

We visit this JJ location drive through about once a week after work. Maybe we hit it at the right time, but they really are freaky fast the last few times I have been there. They haven't messed up our order ever. I give them a tip at the drive through because they do such a nice job. The sandwiches are always fresh and super yummy.

Not the best BBQ. I had the brisket platter, overall the sliced brisket was good but the burnt ends were really over cooked and dry. I would just get the sliced brisket next time. The service was amazing and the beer was cold.

Not to mention their French dressing, I swear it must be homemade, it is that good! A lot of food for not much money, none of us left hungry! We had an impromptu party and even though they close for lunch after 2 pm, they didn't hurry us out, very accommodating!

We haven't eaten at the Radish for a couple years, so were surprised to see that some of our favorite entrees were not still on the menu. We had to ask for the mushroom and sauce appetizer, but thank goodness it was still obtainable. I don't think the Radish serves a bad entree. My husband had a great steak and my cajun chicken was very tasty even the next day. Our waiter was pleasant and helpful. As usual, it made a great date night.
