For a step back in time, visit the Vintage Cafe in Johnstown. Located in the heart of Main St. it provides an atmosphere of days gone by coupled with very good food at reasonable prices. the staff there is very accommodating and the service was 5 star. I would recommend stopping here for lunch or whatever if you are in the area.

I went to this Johnstown restaurant for dinner because it was right across the street (almost) from my hotel. I was seated almost immediately despite the crowded foyer, and had a very good meal of seasoned grilled chicken and shrimp with potatoes in a blackened grill. I really enjoyed it. I also ordered some bread sticks with a cheese sauce the was very good as well. I know this is a chain, but I did think the food was tasty and delivered with good service, so I would recommend the place to others.

We went for Easter Brunch. From the minute we walked in to the time we left we had the best experience, especially on a busy day. Our party of 13 were seated promptly. The family style brunch was served fresh, hot and delicious. They are only open during Maple season, and in the fall. So call ahead before you make the drive. Its about one hour from Albany and the location is beautiful. We thought the price for the all you can eat was very reasonable and almost underpriced On the way out you can purchase some of their delicious Maple syrup. They also have a smoke house and their hame was also served .

The service was slow, the bathrooms were filthy. The salad was so wilted couldnât eat it and the fish came prepared nothing like the description on the menu. I was very disappointed and would not recommend this diner to anyone more return.
I was in the mood for hot dogs, and that is exactly what I got. The sign on the side of the place pulled me in as I was passing through town. The service was friendly, and the hot dogs were good and served fast. My side order (mac salad) was also pretty decent. I sat outside at the picnic tables and chowed down on the hot dogs....it was fun in a "campy" kind of way. I would go back for more.
Locals know Big Mike's and the place is always crowded. Enjoy classic American sandwiches, typical local specials, and poutine. Our family recommend the turkey reuben and the occasional hot dog. Call ahead to have your carry out order ready at the window or take your time and eat inside

Although Prime rib and shrimp cocktail were excellent, the appetizers made a meal for several of us. The stuffed mushrooms were outstanding, the antipasto was as well. The waiter had a very friendly personality. The staff sang happy birthday and brought a nice piece of cake and candle. Nice touch. Itâs not easy doing a group of ten, they did well.

Went here for dinner tonight by boat. There is ample parking whether you go by boat or car. Courtesy docks are plentiful. Menu has burgers, salads, Mac and cheese, sandwiches, etc. I got a burger topped with fried mozzarella and raspberry melba sauce. It was delicious!! Itâs so great to have a local dog friendly restaurant. There are lots of tables on the lawn as well as a spacious patio. Prices are very reasonable and view of the lake is great. Will definitely be back!!

We attended a family function here and it was more than accommodating. We had a separate room all to ourselves, the meal was buffet style. The service was very good and so was the food. Our relatives came from all over the US and were also very pleased with this venue. We were lucky to reserve it for lunch on very short notice. I haven't dined here in the evening but I have heard the food is excellent, we are looking forward to dining here again.
