This was the best coffee shop in town, with a very relaxing environment. The sad part is, this place has since closed. Just wanted everyone to know that it is gone

Absolutely fantastic pizza and Buffalo Wings are a hit, too. I have been told that the burger is fresh from a meat market in town and is excellent as well. Place is kind of in the middle of nowhere but most def. worth a drive. Beer and mixed drinks are cheap too,we go every chance we get!

At one time, this use to be a very good restaurant, no matter when you went, always had to wait. Many changes throughout the years, and not for the better.

This place was closed for years, when it reopened they simply unlocked the door and turned on the lights. Lousy bar food, greasy burger, the onion rings? I could have repacked the wheel bearings on my boat trailer they were so greasy. The place is worn, it's dirty, the bath rooms tell the same story. You want a burger? Drive right on by and stop at McDonalds, their dollar menu is 3 steps above this place.

Based on these reviews we thought this place was a hidden gem. No such luck. The broasted chicken was mostly bones. The mashed potatoes came out of a box. Everything else was canned. I heard the pies are made on the premises so I ordered strawberry rhubarb and found zero strawberries. The benches sag and the holes are taped. The table tops are cleaned with dirty rags. The bathrooms are dirty. Stay away.

I unashamedly declare that in a handful of visits here over 15 years (when it was the Robin) I've always enjoyed it enormously. This is a locals place, and if you want a breakfast with all the fixin's, in a nowhere kind of town, this is the place. The perfect opposite of fancy, if you want to feel blue collar middle America for its unfussy, honest self, spend an hour here with a big plate of food and chat to the folks, perhaps about deer in hunting season. A John Deere or U.S. Navy cap and plaid jacket will also serve you well. It's not especially atmospheric, and I don't know why I like it so much, but I do!!!

Stopped here on our way to Lake Huron, what a delight! Just a few open tables at noon, so obviously others have found this place. I had the BLT and hubby had the whitefish sandwich. There was nothing left on either of our plates. Toasted white bread, just the right amount of mayo, lettuce, a fresh tomato, and good amount of bacon on the BLT. Haven't had one that good in a while.

I ordered a Take-Out Pizza for the first time from "The Hearth" and I very pleased. It was ready for me in 15 minutes; it had the right amount of Cheese, pepperoni and sausage. The sauce tasted great. They have priced the pizza at a good price. In the past I have had to travel five miles to get great pizza. One recommendation I can give is they need to have a separate parking spot reserved for a customer to walk-in and get a take-out pizza.The other thing that should be considered is having a delivery service to any Butman Twp. address or just Sugar Springs.

Casual outside dining! Beautiful setting but what really makes this place special is the people! We stayed here for 2 nights and everyone went above and beyond! The only downfall is everything closes early, bar and restaurant are closed at 9:00, but to be fair we stayed Wednesday and Thursday night! Food was good and the drinks were high end!
