Lynn and I and friends recently stopped for a light dinner at the Fox and Hound. The restaurant was convenient to our high altitude timeshare nearby ( 7700 feet). . This place doesnât look like much from the street, but walk inside and the servers make you feel like long lost friends. Our server, Britney was really sociable and gave me some good advice about the Heavenly ski season. I had their Fish & Chips ($18.49) with a side of onion rings. 3 nice pieces of fish..haddock I believe. Lynn had their French Dip with mushrooms. She must have liked it since we went back a couple of days later & she ordered the same thing. This is a very friendly laid back place with great food.

We were given a recommendation to try this restaurant and weâre very happy we went. The filet and scallops with shrimp were excellent dinner selections. The coconut shrimp appetizer was one of the best weâve ever had. We had a drink at the bar before dinner and the bar area is very beautiful. The restaurant was very busy that night, but we were treated to a beautiful table with a view of the area, and our server took great care to make sure we were happy with our meal. The manager stopped by each table to also ask if anyone needed more attention. We each had wine with dinner and the total cost was no more than we pay in our home town. We enjoyed our affordable and wonderful evening.

We went here for dinner on a Sunday night. The menu mainly consists mainly of pizza, burgers, and some BBQ items. Our food portions and taste, we considered average. The folks serving us appeared to be the owners, they were very attentive and friendly. The atmosphere is relaxed... even using plastic silverware and cups. The outdoor seating area includes corn-hole and Jenga, among other games. The highlight was definitely the service! We didn't love the country music selection, would have preferred more variety. We will go back and give it another chance, maybe try some of their interesting cocktail options.

This little country store is a great place to stop and have a casual lunch outside on the picnic tables on a nice day, Go inside and order made to order sandwiches. All the normal American favorites are there, roast beef, turkey, tuna, egg salad and more. They make great milk shakes there too! The store has a nice selection of snacks to go with lunch as well as normal small grocery store items like crackers, sodas and tampons if needed! The staff are very friendly.

Itâs not fancy, but it is local. My food was good and the service attentive. The decor is not fancy either, but you really feel like you are getting a dose of local flair. Good for lunch, not sure of other meals. Simple menu, but enough to choose from to satisfy most. Would be good for families.

Our friends took us to this historic bar (oldest in Nevada est.1864) and what an experience we had. The interior looks like it had not changed since the bar opened. One item on the wall was of special significance. As the story goes Rachel Welch visited years ago and wanted to add her bra to the the wall display( a long tradition) however she insisted that all the other bras be taken down leaving her red bra alone on the wall. There it stands to this day although it now has turned black with age. Step up to the bar and your are greeted by friendly bar keeps. This particular Sunday it was quite busy with the tourist season but service was not effected. Plenty of outside seating is available also. And yes this is a full bar.
