Thursday was Rose Tasing Night and the experience was delightful! We sampled 5 delicious Rosé wines and ended up buying 2 bottles to take home. We filled up on well-crafted, tasty appetizers and enjoyed the al fresco experience on the patio. Great job Rich and Kelly Regan (as always!).

The Tasting Room is place that can be relied upon for a celebratory meal if you choose steak, which they do exceedingly well. While nothing on the menu is mind-blowingly, spectacularly creative, they use good quality ingredients. As far as appetizers, they're miss or hit. The fois gras and the chicken liver mousse are not to my taste and I usually am a huge fan of both. The carpaccio is alright but nothing remarkable. The crab dip is very good. The appetizers are rather expensive to have them not be quite what you want. The only one I would order again is the crab dip. Next time, I will try the pork belly. As far as entrees, if you choose the steak you won't be disappointed. Either the strip, the ribeye or the filet - all are excellent. Very flavorful, tender, perfectly cooked. One time out of three it didn't quite live up to our expectations, being a little overcooked but I feel confident that steak is still a very good choice. The au gratin potatoes are a treat by themselves. Dessert we rarely have room for but we have tried the creme brulee which has been well executed. The carrot cake was disappointing. One time they had a chocolate gelato as a special which was phenomenal! Service is usually good - a little more casual than you might expect at this price point. At this mark you expect to have items cleared from the table at the appropriate time. We've had great servers and we've had servers who were clearly distracted and not engaged. The atmosphere is loud, given that it is a small restaurant - a box really with lots of hard surfaces. Sort of uncomfortable. Overall, if you want a very good steak in Frederick, this is your best bet.

The place is split between the restaurant and the bar.The restaurant is nice, a bit noisy. The menu is nice with special for the brunch. The service is impeccable. Unfortunately the food seems to be reheated rather than cook to order. It was nice but I missed the freshness We appreciate you leaving a review, and will speak with our kitchen staff about your comment. All of our food is made to order, never reheated, and we're sorry to hear that it seemed that way during your visit!

Firestone's Culinary Tavern, opened in 1999, is located in downtown Frederick's picturesque Historic District. It is housed in a 1921 building that was initially the home of Shipley's Department Store. The restaurant combines outstanding cuisine with the
Firestone was a pleasant surprise we stumbled across looking for a quick lunch in downtown Fredrick. We all thoroughly enjoyed our sandwiches - French Dip, Hot Pastrami - lots of meat, great toppings, and nice breads. And the truffle fries were also amazing. I have no complaints and a lot to praise. The meals were a little pricey for lunch but you certainly get what you pay for; it was more than worth it. Lunch often feels most like a meal of necessity with few standouts but Firestone was certainly a lunch to remember.

VOLT offers guests a menu of modern American cuisine. The focus of our cuisine is based on classic flavor combinations, creating sophisticated dishes that emphasize purity and seasonal flavors that are based on fundamental and innovative cooking technique
Thought the chef's table experience at Volt would be fun. The wait staff were charming, very informed about their products and enthusiastic about serving. The evening's staff also were lovely. Very engaging and open to questions. Did wine pairings -- which shouldn't be remembered more favorably than the food. But they were. Food was overwhelmingly mediocre. No true high points. Some good dishes. Some not so good. For the price, we expected more. Also diminishing the experience was a particularly noisy crew of folks in the bar. Certainly they're entitled to have fun. But if we couldn't hear because of their hoots and hollers, not the most entertaining meal. Overall disappointing.

We were driving around looking for something to eat when we spotted this BBQ place. Since it was 2 of my daughters and a picky best friend, we were having trouble finding a place we all could agree on. I'm so glad we're found this place, the staff was amazing, made us feel at home, recommended a karoke bar for us, and the food was fantastic. If I'm ever back in Fredericksburg, I'll definitely go back here. I highly recommend this place.

We loved our lunch and the waiter was very knowledgable, efficient and friendly. My stirfry with a shrimp skewer was fresh and tasty and very reasonably priced at $12.50. My husband had a crispy chicken sandwich that was handbreaded and on freshly made bread. We will be back!

The Wine Kitchen on the Creek is a modern, seasonal style chophouse that features local, high quality cuts of meat and a farm fresh menu that includes many seafood and vegetarian options along with a dynamic wine and spirits list.
It was a board business dinner and we had about 12 people attending. The service and food were flawless, and the wine recommendations outstanding. Everyone was very impressed, and the place was very busy. I recommend this for any venue. And, we will definitely be back. Congratulations to the chef, serving staff, and management!

Had some clients in from out of state. Suggested cream of crab soup and crab cakes...I was really hoping I hadnât overstated these items. Great news...I didnât! The folks were here from Houston, Texas and were âblown awayâ by both! Iâve since been to Houston and they prefaced our dinner there, stating âWell, itâs not Dutchâs Daughterâ...it wasnât but it was also very good. Remember, lots of people serve crab cakes and crab soup, but these are among the best youâll find anywhere and you can delight in seeing and hearing the reaction of your guests as they experience Dutchâs Daughters!I should mention that the service and ambiance were also excellent and donât assume anything regarding the rest of their menu choices. There are lots of terrific options and everything is really, really good! Dutchâs Daughter is a little off the beaten path. You may even need your gps to find it but that actually adds to and enhances the âexperienceâ! All in all...excellent, go there...youâll be glad you did!

We were celebrating birthdays with a group of eight and were a bit disappointed there were no childrenâs menu. Our entreeâs were delicious though although each was served one at a time with more than a ten minute wait between the first and eighth meal meaning the first served was quite cold by the time everyone received their meals. We enjoyed the teas and crab dip appetizer.
