nothing posted on boards had to ask what soup of the day was, ordered mozzarella sticks, burgers, and fries. mozzarella sticks were heavly battered frozen and deep fried, burgers were frozen pattys, fries were frozen, could have gotten as good of a meal from any fast food place for a lot less. service was ok. cheep but they charge for everything $0.75 for mayo. WON'T GO BACK

Waterfront bar located on the Rock River in Fort Atkinson. Full menu and bar with indoor and outdoor seating.
We have been to most of the bars and restaurants around Lake Koshkonong, but heard about this place from friends that stopped for Friday fish fry and loved it, so we had to see for ourselves. We stopped on a Saturday afternoon when they weren't real busy yet and had a great time looking around and talking to the owner. They have obviously spent a lot of money updating the facility and grounds and it looks great. There is a great venue for outside music with an outside "tiki" bar and new pier. They have a great beer menu with the usual's and some good craft beers. Creative food menu also. We had a couple appetizers that were very good. Looking forward to returning. Could become our new "go to" place!

Last night I arrived in Fort Atkinson late from Milwaukee after a flight from Phoenix via Minneapolis St Paul. Checked into my hotel and decided it was time for a beer and something to eat. I drove down Main Street saw Fat Boyz and remembered being there in the past and knew it to be a good neighborhood local bar / restaurant. So in I went. Sat at the end of the bar and was greeted by a cordial bartender and provided with a menu and told it was all you can eat wings night for $6. And so it went . . . The wings were available in hot or regular. I got half hot and half regular wings with bleu cheese dressing. They were perfect and hit the spot with a good draft beer. A perfect family neighborhood bar worth visiting for casual food or a great beer selection when in Fort Atkinson, Wisconsin.

This cafe serves fabulous soups, salads, and grilled sandwiches (the Tomato Reuben was quite a treat). The place definitely has a slight hippie flavor to it - if that's going to bother you, try a McDonald's instead. The back screened room was wonderful on a late spring day - light breezes and goldfinches at the feeder.

We were just out for a drive when we passes thru this town and we found this place. We are glad we stopped in. They have an amazing bar that overlooks the water. Pool table, dart boards, and so much more... They have a nice selection of craft beers on tap to choose from. We decided we were going to eat after reading through thier menu. Our server was very friendly. She explained the specials and some of her favorites. Our daughter had the Alfredo pasta kids meal which was very tasty. My wife had the steak sandwich which was seasoned perfectly and cooked perfect. Lastly I had a fresh berry salad that was wonderful. It had fresh apples, mandarin oranges, grapes, candied nuts with a raspberry dressing. Very nicely done. I would have given this place a 5 star review, but I felt that the prices were a bit high. We will be back again soon and if they can match or beat this visit I will bump it up to a 5 star!Cheers!

This place is within walking distance of local hotels. Customer service is minimal. We rarely saw our server other than when we ordered drinks and food. The food was decent but did not really impress me. It was okay to stop at if you are starving but I definitely would most likely not return.Hi WorldwideRover007,I'm sorry that you had a very Basic experience. Can you let me know what night you dined in with us? I'd love to get to know exactly why the service wasn't better that way I can improve for next time. I see that you ordered the Chicken Quesadilla, did you order anything else? I'd appreciate any feedback I can get to improve our service and quality of food. Thank you!

You don't find a lot of places like the Eat-Mor. About 15 counter seats, no tables. A congenial crowd waits out on the sidewalk with the other "Poets" until seats open up. Randy cooks wight in front of his patrons. Don't go if you are in a hurry or if you are not hungry! Be prepared to take food home. I have had breakfast and a half-pound bacon. Both were excellent. Lots of old artifacts to enjoy while you are waiting. We will visit again. Oh, and shirts are ordered. The were sold out yesterday.

Went for a Friday fish fry. Got a table right away & then we were on wait. Finally got water and then were ignored. Took forever & then took drink order. Then it was more wait. Close to walking out. Finally got order & food was good. Didn't apppreciate comments from proprieter. An apology would have been in order or a reduced bill. Neither happened. This place is also gotten pricey. We used to go ocassionaly, but now we will strike it from our list. There are too many other good and reasonably priced places.

My husband and I were desperate for lunch, but as tourists in the Fort Atkinson area, we were struggling to find something. We then stumbled across this true gem!!! We had beef stew, ham and bean soup, the beer battered chicken fingers, and the beer battered fish sandwich. All the food was phenomenal, super unpretentious but perfectly executed. All of it tasted homemade, and was fresh. On top of the food being great, our waitress was absolutely amazing and the atmosphere was lively, but not too loud and didnât feel too bar-y in the afternoon. (My husband and I donât drink and can sometimes feel slightly weird in a bar if it doesnât have a dual sort of an atmosphere). We are from the Chicago area where good food definitely isnât in short supply and we would be weekly regulars here if we lived any where near it!! It is a must visit if you are in town!

Took a child for the first time to see Annie. Play was good but the food served younger guests was terrible. The chicken nuggets, were frozen and processed. The macaroni and cheese was the boxed variety and the green beans seemed to come straight from a can. Terrible quality but maybe the staff thought the kids would be so excited to see the play, the quality of their food doesn't count. The adult paying notices. The adult entrees were upgraded. White the Shrimp and Sea Bass were well prepared as expected, why were the night's vegetables not served? The substituted had a strong vinegar flavor. So terrible, they weren't consumed. Then the waitress didn't even bother to offer coffee. We attend the dinner theater at least twice a year, always enjoying the meal as well as the production. We will attend again when Cinderella is performed hoping our grandchild's dinner is one of quality. If not, I will complain to staff and call it a day when it comes to patronizing the Fireside.Thank you for your feedback and we are sorry that you were disappointed with the meal. The youth meal consists of: Chicken breast tenderloins that are hand battered, seasoned, and cooked by us (and not a frozen food service item), macaroni and cheese (pasta and cheese sauce made by us, not a boxed processed food), corn and green beans. I apologize that your server did not offer you coffee, that's one of the first things they should have mentioned to you once you sat down. All of our additional entrees have unique sides, but if you would like the sides that are on a different entree, you can request that from your server and we will make that happen for you.
