We have been to Carol's several times for breakfast. It is definitely home cooking. The price is great for the quantity and quality of food that is served. The wait staff has always been pleasant. Will be trying out their weekend breakfast buffet soon.

Bulls Steakhouse was established in 1991 as a casual family steakhouse with the main focus on personalized service and exceptional food at a great value. Owners Kevin Middleton and Jim Lemon insist on giving personal attention to every guest that walks in
Bull's Steakhouse has long been a staple in the Forest area and they seldom disappoint. Bull's is a great place for lunch because it provides the perfect business atmosphere.. relaxed and quiet enough to carry a conversation. I haven't had a bad meal in the numerous times I've eaten at Bull's so I always feel safe recommending it to friends and colleagues.

We were there only for dessert, but found the place very friendly and the dessert options extensive. Talked with owner for a while and found her very engaging. We had three ordering desserts, each different, but each wonderful. Can highly recommend visiting this location for dessert and probably a lunch meal as well.

... because you will need about three hours to eat here. That's a slight exageration, but the service was slow and inattentive and the food arrived even slower. Besides decent prices, I was unimpressed with anything else about the place. The order wasn't correct, and the promised fix was so longing coming (20+ minutes) that others were finished eating and we just sent it back. Maybe we hit them on a bad night, but I'll probably never find out.

A farm to table, casual burger place serving grass fed - grass finished beef on locally baked buns with local or organic produce. The menu also has all natural free range chicken sandwiches, fresh salads, local dairy milkshakes, hand cut fries, local craf
I've eaten here many times when I'm in Lynchburg. It's not near where tourism is except near Jefferson's second home, but if you're out this way, and like sandwiches, stop here. They've got a great chicken sandwich and great burgers. And they cut their fries fresh from raw potatoes and that makes the difference. They also have a decent gluten free bun if you need that. I have not had the shakes but my colleagues have ordered them and rave about them.

My wife and I were looking for a place to eat in Forest, VA. We happened to see Brauburgers and thought why not give it a try. The service and food was excellent. We have eaten at a significant number of restaurants over the years and we have never received our hot meal as quick as we did Brauburgers. They have a significant number of options for burgers. My wife chose a Hawaiian Burger and I had the Berliner. Both were excellent and very filling. Jordan was our server and she did an outstanding job. Overall one of the best eating experiences we have had at a set down restaurant. We would highly recommend.

We really enjoyed eating at this restaurant! We wanted to eat somewhere nice after Liberty's graduation and we decided to eat here. We made the mistake of not making reservations but thankfully they were able to seat us outside. It was pouring rain, but the outside area was covered and we never got wet. The food was delicious and the service was great. They have a really good salad bar and the dessert was great too! The steak was delicious!!!

I would give this place six stars for our recent experience if I could. We attended the local graduation services and had a large group of family members (12). The whole town was extremely crowded and we made reservations via Open Table. With traffic & detours we were a few minutes late and called from the car to explain. The staff said, "No problem" and we were seated as soon as we arrived. Our waitress was very attentive and did an excellent job of servicing us during the entire meal. Even though there were people waiting when we left, we were not rushed in any way. We found the menu to be more than adequate and everyone was pleased with what they ordered. The desserts were awesome and we went away happy. We plan to return if we are back in the area.

Benjamin and Jackie McGehee of Benjaminâs Great Cows And Crabs have been serving the Forest area for 15 years. The casual yet rustic restaurant is not only comfortable and family friendly but a representation of the Benjaminâs steak and seafood concept. T
For years I have frequented Benjamin's Restaurant. I do not go as much as I did and this past Sunday I was shocked. The staff is entirely, all except the Mgr. and one waitress has changed. The service was not like it had been and the food therefore was not made as ordered and all in all very disappointing. I wondered if the owner, Ben still owns Benjamin's or if there is perhaps a new owner. That would explain the changes. .Linda, thank you for your feedback. Yes I still own Benjaminâs. Weâve been striving to provide the best food and service in the region for the past 16 years. Weâve relied on great customers like you to support our attention to detail and passion for this industry. We do have some new team members, and I canât wait for you to meet each of them personally. Iâm sure youâll be impressed with their great attitudes and hard work ethic. I look forward to the opportunity to serve you again and am sure we will earn back your trust on the next visit, as well as 5 STARS!See you soon. Ben
From its humble beginnings in 1935, The Texas Inn (formerly Texas Tavern) has become a Lynchburg legend, serving our world-famous Chili, hot dogs, hamburgers, and signature sandwich â The Western. The Hill Cityâs oldest restaurant now has two locations to
I had eaten at the downton location years ago and thought i'd learned my lesson then, but no, I was in the area and hungary so against my better judgement I decided to give this new location a try. I ordered a cheeseburger, fries and ice tea. The burger was served cold. So cold that I could not tell the difference between it and the tomato that was hiding the pitiful small paper thin substance that was being passed off as a hamburger. The fries were OK and served hot. The tea was also OK.Service was lacking in that when my food was served that was the last time I had an interaction with my server. She was to interested in her cell phone. It wasn't that they were busy as there was a scant three people in there at 5:00pm. The floors were filthy with pieces of fries and napkins littered about. These "legend" places are mostly all the same. They hang their pride on the wall with how long the've been in service when they should be involved with improving their lot in the numerous places to eat now in this town. So if you want to say that you have eaten there just to say that you did then enter at your own taste bud risk.
