Our philosophy is simple; to provide great food, exceptional value and friendly service to each and every customer we serve.
Charlie Brown clearly used to be better if sticking to red meat, though never noteworthy. Recently, while dining out as a group, I had the weekend "seafood special" which was chosen despite my normally strong inclinations to avoid seafood in a steakhouse. However, I wanted to go light and made a clearly imprudent judgment in doing so.The pictured portrayal looked tempting and after all it is a weekend special, so I fell right in. First, there are mountains of boring boiled potatoes forming the base over which it appears there's much more seafood than is presented. I counted seven tough, tasteless, nothing approximating fresh mussels, three of which were closed. The clams were boringly inoffensive, but the only inclusion approaching neutral value. The crab was watery, lacking any character or again hint of freshness, the corn on the Cobb waterlogged.Charlie Brown's salad bar is sadly antiquated, as if sheer numbers of offerings is significant to anyone knowing anything fundamental about food and value. I couldn't imagine a look that better suggested a post WWII eatery. A glass of chardonnay, the only option on the "house white" menu (in smaller and larger size) was probably tied for the worst imitation of wine I've ever tasted. It rivals memories of Bowery winos sipping on Golden Wings muscatel, brown pair bag enveloped. Without deprecating Asiatic cuisine, it was both sweet and sour, nether a particularly good nose for vino. And price? Ridiculous for such garbage. Charley Brown, stick with what you know bestX, betterX, uhh modestly serviceable. It amazes me that people can actually repeatedly relish such institutions (I'll never return to this one), but then again America is the home of horrible fast food replacing nuanced cooking and accordingly peaking in vastly unhealthy repercussions.

My husband and I ate here when in town for the weekend upon recommendation from our hotel. It is a cozy spot in a historic building. The service was fantastic - Tahlia was attentive and knowledgeable and did not steer us wrong with her recommendations. We had the lobster tempura as an appetizer and it was yummy. The fish and chips and tuna entrees were equally amazing. We will be back next time we are in town!

Established in 1989, Hudson's Ribs & Fish is the Hudson Valley's Premiere Steak and Seafood House! Serving fresh seafood, hand cut aged steaks, ribs, chicken and pasta. Indulge in our famous homemade popovers with strawberry butter...a house specialty!
Arrived late, the last people in the place. We were greeted warmly by host and waitress who we can only imagine really just wanted to go home. We never felt rushed and had a pleasant dining experience. The warm popovers with strawberry butter were a very nice way to start. The family style Caesar salad for 2 was presented nicely. The food was good, portions generous. We would definitely go back if in the area.

We visit every Cracker Barrel we can when we travel because my husband loves it and there are none anywhere near our home. We had dinner at this one four nights in a row. The first and third visits were great - good waitresses in Jennifer and Aniyah, and the food was tasty. The other two nights, however, were the worst CB experiences we have ever had; terrible service, food luke-warm and greasy. On the last evening, our waitress had a table of 12 (with 6 of the worst-behaved children ever). She also had our table and at least two more. CB needs to even out the assignments and provide support when someone gets overloaded.

Sotano Food & Wine is a restaurant providing dine-in, carry out and catering services to the Fishkill, NY area. Languages: English, Spanish
Last evening, my wife and I made a wonderful new discovery in Fishkill, New York that added a very special touch to our anniversary celebration. Opened in June of this year, Sotano is situated in a charming building on Main Street, with ample parking in back. The décor in the dining room was clearly the result of careful consideration especially for the color coordination, and an intimate bar, expertly staffed by a delightful young lady with an amazing name â youâll have to ask her yourself! â provided the perfect spot to linger over our after dinner drinks.Chef Patricio, who is also the owner, made it a point to greet every one of his guests. He is a very approachable person. His culinary creations are exciting and are well matched with a carefully selected wine list, which includes an excellent Albarino. We started with the calamari, prepared with a chickpea-infused coating. The flavor coming from the chickpeas was subtle and perfectly balanced the calamari. The Albarino was a perfect match for this appetizer. For our main meal, my wife had steak, perfectly cooked to order. I selected the scallops with risotto and a superb lobster butter sauce. The sauce made the scallops come alive in my mouth which is a very rare treat indeed. Our servers, Dylan and Heaven (yes, that is her name!) were very professional but low key, keeping a watchful eye on the progress of our meal and the level of our wine glasses. Chef Patricio is planning some very interesting additions to the menu, and I would encourage you to engage him in conversation about these. You will not be disappointed having a meal at Sotano, and I strongly recommend reservations be made for the dinner period.

The Dutchess Biercafe is located on Main Street in the center of the village of Fishkill, It is designed to provide a Belgian and/or German beer hall atmosphere. They offer a nice variety of Belgian beers on tap. Although the menu is limited and includes pub food, they offer some traditional Belgian and German specialties - wursts, moules/mussels, schnitzel. They have nice outdoor seating as well as inside. The service was friendly, but could be more efficient.

Service was very good. Food was good. Available in half and full portions. I do feel that there could be more menu options. Atmosphere is nice but not really intimate. Other party was a foot away from us and was listening to our conversations! I would likely try it again when in the area.

I highly recommend this place. The food is terrific, sooo many options to choose from and it's reasonable in price. Its a busy place but the pleasant staff manages to keep things moving. My only regret is that I was too full to try a dessert!

Great spot for lunch; we sat outside 3 of the 4 times we dined here over the last two months. Popovers are delicious; lobster bisque was excellent; double burger was huge; spinach ravioli was very good; we really enjoyed the crab cakes; chocolate pecan pie was a great way to end the meal. We had brunch 3 times; the belinis should be included with the brunch price.Service was excellent each time. Servers were always accommodated each request with a smile.Great place to have lunch while viewing the spectacular view of the Hudson River.
