Stopped in for a late lunch/early dinner with the family. Place was not busy. One waitress was working our table area. They just keep seating people in that area...seems like we were too close to other tables personally. Waitress didnât check in on us, drinks were empty. Kids food was cold, they reheated it, then brought it back out. I think a manager brought it out. Didnât ask if there was anything else she could do. Salad bar was wasnât fully stocked. Mashed potatoes were runny, too. Our experience was blah!
Why Catbird for the name of the rooftop terrace on the Hotel Weyanoke? Included in the definition - Catbirds seek out the highest perches in trees to sing and display. It may also be the source of an earlier term with much the same meaning - 'sitting pret
I stayed at the Hotel Weyanoke for a conference and had an opportunity to have a drink at the Catbird Rooftop Terrace. It's an absolutely beautiful bar with amazing views over the town,,great service and mid-priced but well made drinks. Their drink menu is good and the bartender made a wonderful gin martini for me with an olive. The bartender that night was also very friendly and attentive and was quick to get the drinks and bill back to us that evening. The bar also has a cornhole set and lots of seating, both at the bar and around it. Very nice spot and I will be sure to visit when I return.Thank you so much for your detailed review. We are happy to hear you enjoyed the full experience while visiting us at Catbird on the Rooftop of Hotel Weyanoke. We look forward to your next visit. Cheers!

Down home Southern cooking, home made meals from biscuits to fried chicken and real potatoes to house made pancakes and eggs. House made desserts are a special treat to sum up your great meal.
We had lunch here. It was a quaint little restaurant. It was definitely a neighborhood hangout. Everybody was friendly, we were seated immediately. The food was very good. I had the Chicken Salad Cold Plate. You got a lot of food for your money. They had a good looking menu & I would go here again & try something different.

Great place for breakfast. I had the Double Deuces - 2 pancakes - 2 eggs - 2 strips of bacon - 2 patty sausages - coffee - juice. Heck of a deal. Great service. Friendly place.

Coal-fired pizza, sandwiches, big salads, coffee, craft brews and a great wine and spirits selection all located right in the lobby of Hotel Weyanoke.
Trying to be super formal in an average setting in a town that wonât support it unless itâs made from scratch, legit and marketed properly..... not the case here....My wife and I had brunch here. Two orders of chicken n biscuits. Literally a small mediocre biscuit, a tiny fried thigh and some gravy and it was over $30!! Lol!We eat out ALL the time and can ensure we will not be back here.A lot of attention is needed here trust me!We are sorry that you had an unsatisfactory experience. We have many guests that rave about our Sunday Brunch, especially the Chicken Biscuit, and look forward to it every weekend. We are always open to addressing areas needing improvement, so we thank you for taking the time to leave us this review.

This is one location of a small chain of sandwich shops.
Has an indoor and outdoor area. Had the nacho grande first, which had more than enough for 4 people to eat. Then had the bacon cheddar burger which was huge. Meat was cooked to order and tasty. The sides of macaroni salad and potato salad were made on premises, which friends said was good; other options for sides. We had 12 people and everyone said they were pleased with their food and price. Service was excellent for such a large party.

We stopped in Walker's Diner for breakfast on our way to Green Front to do some furniture shopping. It was awesome! There aren't any tables inside so you have to sit at the counter, but if it's a nice day they have several tables outside. This place is an awesome authentic diner experience from start to finish! Food was great, staff was super friendly - we'll definitely be back!

Our group shared a meal here after a day of cycling and sight-seeing. We had no trouble getting reservations for 8, and really appreciated being seated at a round table that allowed us to talk to each other. My meal was tasty and fresh. Our server was sweet and smiling and made sure to refresh drinks and check up on us. We recommend Charleyâs.

Stopped in for a cold afternoon coffee on the way down to Raleigh. Drinks were good. Decent prices. Cold with some unique flavors. Though the flavors could have been anything, as they didn't taste that much closely to what they were called. Food looked good and we almost ordered.Glad we didn't -- as I was using the restroom and a large (3") roach scurried through the room and into a hole behind the commode. That wall abutts to the kitchen. Nice.Borax powder works for the big ones. Otherwise it was very quaint and nice, and right in downtown.Would recommend: YesWould re-patronize: Maybe

Recently visited here with a lovely daughter who treated me to a gal's day out! Was very busy--and we had to wait, but only 15-20 minutes. Then on to the food, which was both plentiful and tasty. I had barbeque-pork, sweet potato fries (delicious and different), cole slaw and hush puppies. Enough was left over for my husband and I for lunch the next day! Not a fancy place--pretty typical family restaurant. Our waitress, although very busy, was pleasant, and took time for a few words with us--as well as excellent service. Definitely would go again, in fact may make a special trip to repeat the lunch!
