Certainly felt that we were eating with the "upper crust" at this popular place in Tyson's Corners. Expense account or lobbyist prices combined with extraordinary food. The seafood tower is a wonder to behold. We ate lightly off the appetizer menu. I had crab cakes and my husband enjoyed the Norwegian salmon. Too rich for my blood.

TRIO Grill is a modern American restaurant in Falls Church, Virginia offering award-winning service, the finest steaks and freshest seafood, an extensive wine list, handcrafted cocktails, and Merrifield's only cigar lounge.
Went here twice in December. Once with our Supper Club and again for New Years Eve. Both excellent services, craft cocktails, and dinner. This place has been consistently excellent for the past two years we have come here. In many ways, overlooked by food critics. High quality and it doesnât break the bank! Highly recommend. And a shout out to Samuel who we have watched professionally grow from a server to manager at Trio. Free valet parking available.Thank you so much for joining us! We are so glad you enjoyed everything including Samuel's service! We look forward to seeing you again soon!

Simply amazing ... as always! This place never disappoints. It has something for everyone ... and it is ALWAYS done right. I have tried virtually everything on the menu ... more than once ... and it is consistently delicious. And the service is always there, hovering at just the right time, and predictably professional. And the decor and atmosphere is lively but intimate. And all this in a Mall? Yes!

Crowded and loud, but thatâs to be expected in such a popular place. Iâve been happy with my dogfish visits in the past, but was disappointed in the Friday fish fry. The fish was only so so, and paired with Mac and cheese, fries and corn bread, it was a bit of a carb overload. Others in my group had the fish tacos and the shrimp tacos which were excellent.

It's a new place that has just opened. I just got back from dinner and wanted to rave about what a great addition it is to our county.
Sigh - Iâm underwhelmed and disappointed - but it wasnât bad to be clear. Is it a Nola food hangout? Not really. Is the food bad? Gumbo was not good (light colored roux was the first bad sign). Rest was fine - but not memorable. if you want a fish bowl sized drink and decent shellfish steamed in a bag - want to connect with friends and laugh - decent place. If you are pining for good authentic, good Nola food - I feel u will be disappointed. Iâd need to try a few more items to definitively say no - but I wonât be going back. Did not try the crawfish, etouffee, jambalaya (only had chix and sausage) or beignets (served with a strawberry sauce - what?). I know.....if those are outstanding - Iâd try it again but my spidey sense says nooooooReview gives pluses and minuses. Went on Mardi Gras as Bayou Bakery in Arlington closes after lunch and Acadiana in dc closed for food in November (whyyyy?). Had hoped for some related food and or bite of King Cake (none. Zippo. Sad face). Theyâve served in the past our server said so that was a puzzle. Place was packed. Upbeat atmosphere. Nice servers. You can talk at a normal volume which is great actually. Tables covered in paper. They provide - bibs - buckets for shells - tons of napkins and handi-wipes. Restaurant was Clean too which is not always the case in Nola. Ha. If you sit near the windows in the winter you will get cold - feel like a grandma saying that but it is true....folks were putting jackets back on...Beer selection is good - about 20 beers in bottles (lots of Abita) and two cheap beers on tap and one Abita which was fine. Some mixed âfish bowlâ-sized mixed drinks - sigh - thought about a margarita but I really donât need a fishbowl. Iâm guessing this might be a draw though for those reminiscing the seamier side of Bourbon street. Only non-fried vegetable is a side salad. Had gumbo (not special - do not order). Sigh. I ordered boiled shrimp - side of sauce, rice and sliced, grilled andouille. Three types of spices and you can order it mild - medium, etc. big shrimp. You can only order by the pound so I took half home. They were good. The shareable boiled shellfish options looked interesting and you can share. Five options where you can get 2-5 types of boiled seafood (not MD crabs to be clear) - but good choices. Option includes sides like corn- potatoes boiled in the bag. Started in the -$60 ish range for shellfish options and 3-4 sides (split). You can order with three different spice combos and mild to extra spicey. Nice. They offer crawfish, shrimp, two types of crab (king crab) and sausage. Hope next year theyâll add king cake at least. Sigh.

Nice atmosphere, but definitely more open/loud (thus "cafe" I suppose). The wait staff is polite and helpful while the sandwiches/subs are fantastic! I'm a big fan of the New York Yankee (which hurts just to order) and their reuben, but there have been others that I've enjoyed tremendously. It may be difficult to choose (I think there are over 50 options), so consider previewing the menu online before you go. Does get crowded, so consider avoiding the peak hours if you'd like more space and less of a wait.

My daughter and I came for lunch. Parking available in the back. She had the grilled shrimp wrap and I had the fried oyster po-boy. We both had onion rings. All very good. Key lime pie for dessert was delicious and the right size. Will try again with my wife.

Beautiful setting. Food was very good. Went for Restaurant Week 3 course dinner. Ordered a nice bottle of Pinot Noir. Everything was very nice but the waiter was not engaging at all. He seemed indifferent. It was an Anniversary dinner and I asked if he could take our picture he said yes but never came back to do it. One of the bus boys took it and since we were against the window it didnât come out very well! There are to many restaurants who are very happy to accommodate patrons so we will not be back to this restaurant.

This seafood restaurant is Asian inspired which provides a nice blend of flavor for the seafood. The atmosphere is comfortable and you should feel comfortable to enjoy a bottle of wine while enjoying a slower pace meal. Our waiter (Cole) seemed to know the menu and even though they were out of a few things, he was able to guide us to some enjoyable selections.

American casual restaurant with a micro brewery serving western inspired food in a fun and relaxing atmosphere.
I have found Sweetwater Tavern an excellent go to restaurant for outstanding salads. I especially like mine topped off with their territic marinated salmon. Except for one unpleasant evening the service has also been very good. On the particular evening in question we had a waiter who seemed to not want to be bothered with serving and made mistakes in our orders, a very unusual occurence for this very good chain of restaurants which takes pride in service. A chat with the manager gave us a coupon to cover one meal, but of course, while a reasonable thing to do, that doesn't make up for a wasted evening. However, going back after that resulted in much better food and service. It is a favorite of ours for dining out on a patio, although the wait for a table there can be a bit long. This is one of our go-to restaurants.
