We love their sandwiches and the staff is so nice. We have a daughter with special needs and the staff always has patience with her order.

Torino has been around for a very long time. Nothing fancy, basic pizza that is not New York or Chicago fare. Nice sauce, oily cheese with basic toppings. Open late. A unique Fairfield experience. Typical Iowa menu items like burgers, steak and chicken also.

We were attending the Southeast Iowa Blues Society's show and didn't know where to get dinner so we checked out this spot on Tripadvisor. We had the pizza and we were pleastantly surprised. The crust had good flavor and the toppings were excellent. Don't expect a fancy place just a good place for food.

Our trip through Fairfield was under-whelming for several reasons: 1). Mararishi Vedic City 2). Dining options. I'll focus on the dining options for this review ...Prior to setting off on our trip, I researched the culinary offerings in Fairfield and I was impressed with the choices! So many ethnicities represented, for such a relatively small town. Awesome! After locating the town square, we walked to several places listed on TA. Two were closed (Monday?) or were crowded with no seating and/or were a bit more 'rustic' than we expected. So, we drove around a bit more and found Mike and Nikki's. The building (inside and out) looks a bit like a former Pizza Ranch; fine. Burgers/sandwiches were fine. The whole thing was fine. Nothing to complain about, but nothing special, either. Our waitress was super kind, though. I think we were just expecting to have some wonderful, local, unusual, ethnic food. And we ended up with some very typical, midwestern fare. Nothing at all wrong with that, unless you're hoping for an ethnic experience. :)

Southern Style BBQ Restaurant & Catering Company. We feature real wood smoked bbq and home made sides in our restaurant, food trailer, and in our catering business.
We just moved here, and became aware of the restaurant due to their catering at a local business. Took the family there and we are hooked. Burnt ends are the best anywhere! Hubby loves the brisket (when it is shredded vs. in big slices). Wonderful cheesy potatoes. The staff is super friendly and happy to give all of the details on any of the menu items. So happy to find this restaurant!!!

Books and great food. Revelations is a gigantic bookstore but their food is excellent. I had a turkey Reuben with chips, others had ell burgers or salads with grilled chicken. Both times we were there after the lunch rush but it can be a very busy place. Desserts looked delicious. You can get vegetarian or vegan options. A selection of fine gift items. Plenty of rooms to pick from to eat in. I will go back just to browse books and have coffee and dessert. They also have author book signings which we have been to. Perfect!

We just moved here to Fairfield, and are surprised by several excellent restaurants in town. While not inexpensive, the food and service are worth the cost. The Cajun pasta is outstanding with large portions. We were not impressed with the prime rib chunk, but we may have just been there on an off night as most others seemed to really like it.
