Greeted within 2 minutes at door, went early in the day , only party in restaurantServer friendly and prompt, good array of menu items, drinks arrived within a minute of ordering, Food was hot but seemed flavor of Reuben was lacking sauce. Atmosphere was dated and we counted 12 flys during visit, they were no the same ones.

Stopped in Sunday Evening around 6:00 PM. Sat at counter Man next to me had obviously been there patiently waiting for someone to take his order. He waited so long he changed from a meal, to a carrot cake. After three cups of coffee the cake never appeared. Inspite of being 6 feet away from dessert cake. He paid for his coffee and left. While I'm typing g this review a woman sitting at a table came and stood behind and informed the manager that she has ordered 5 scallops for her meal a d they failed to appear. Now for me. I too waited a lengthy time for a tone to take my order. I too switched from a serious dinner to a burger, fearing I would still be waiting on Mo day morning. I will admit the burger, fried, etc. where excellent. With a couple of guys that appeared to be managers walking around the service should be MUCH better.
We stopped here for supper after a long day of meetings. Had never been here before--he's only been open for about 10 weeks. We all got the fried chicken. Huge chicken legs. Great tasting coating--not batter dipped. I got the mac and cheese and candied yams. So good. Another person got the greens--he was in heaven. The third person got red beans and rice and loved it. Craig has wonderful and friendly. Definitely will be back when in the area.

Had lunch here with a friend. The weather was perfect, and we were able to sit out on the little outdoor gazebo with our friends the chickens. The food was tasty, and our server happily made adjustments to accommodate our special dietary requirements. The property is cute and friendly, as are the servers. I'm happy to have chosen this as a place for lunch.

Been here probably 15 times when traveling through Connecticut. Great meal. Had kreplach soup with a not enough filling in the kreplach but still delicious. The tongue sandwich was absolutely delicious. My colleague had a hummus sandwich which was not a great one.
My wife and I visited on a Sunday afternoon and sampled some of their delicious ice cream. Not made on the premises, but I believe it is shipped in from Maple Valley farms Creamery in Hadley, MA. Good stuff. A plethora of toppings to choose from also, along with very creative cones, cookies and other baked items. Friendly servers. It's a cute place, with inside and outside seating to choose from. They also offer coffees, smoothies and shakes.

Chock full of meats and cheese. Nice back in the day diner. Friendly service. Fast Kitchen. Very clean. Lots of locals. Open early. The only negative was no follow-up with water. Easy access and ample parking. Very froggy day.

We came for a late lunch. The restaurant has an outdoor patio, a bar and a dining room. The menu has some unique items as well as wings and burgers. On this Saturday we were greeted as we entered and invited to sit any where. Moderately busy, we had to wait a bit for menus and it took forever for my wine to be servedApparently we all came at the same time and the owner called and the sweet waitress was very sorry. Our sandwich was delicious with good and hot fries.Priced a bit high one would expect more attentive service. Also, dirty sidewalk and trash bin outside. Tables are cleaned but not the floor. We hope things improve so they will remain in business as it fits as niche in Ellington

We visited with our son. This place is a classic restaurant and bar. The atmosphere was pleasant and genuine. We ordered honey BBQ wings, brisket sandwich, the Cuban sandwich, and the open faced steak sandwich. Everything was fantastic - served hot and fresh. This is a true classic restaurant and a must for locals and visitors alike. The side order of red cabbage was good but needed sweetness to make it great.
