Such a great spot right on the water -- that's our positive spin. Our food looked good but was not as fabulous as we hoped. My husband had the fried oyster salad which also had fried onion rings and he was sad because both were barely warm -- as if they had been pre-fried and were just waiting to "don" a salad. I had the wedge with shrimp as an addition -- it was okay. I think our biggest disappointment was service was very, very slow. We heard the waitress telling another table she was the only one working and she was sorry -- but that just isn't a good excuse for a restaurant. It took us forever to get drink refills and we ended up going inside to pay, because the waitress didn't come back in a timely manner after dropping off the bill. The menu looks yummy -- they really need to work on the service side.

Food was nothing special, view was nice. Wish had more umbrellas outside to shade guests. Little surf shop type store connected and public beach right there was nice.

Casual French bistro where you will experience the same gracious hospitality as the coastal gentry of Kiawah and Seabrook Island.
We had reservations for 7 and we were accommodated very nicely. A nice big table, very roomy and not crowded together. Our waiter AJ was absolutely fabulous. The food was over the top. The steak, seafood selections, and vegetables were prepared wonderfully. Be sure to get the cheesecake for dessert, it is to die for.

From the restaurant's web site:"Featuring a selection of your favorite foods served in the Low Country. We welcome you to a restored tradition and a fresh beginning. Foods of the South are designed by chef Cherry Smalls."Full bar. Serving dinner TueâSat f
Overly priced bland swordfish. The swordfish was the special of the day, but it was nothing special. The waitress was kind enough to divide the check for us and owner/manager so distrusted her that he made us wait 10 plus minutes as he doubled checked the bills when we attempted to pay. He thought that the waitress had missed an entree on one of the checks, she hadnât, but he did ensure that we wonât be back. Al SYou speak of somthing you have no idea about. FYI: Waitress rings the check on a calculator with a print out so she can drop yoru bill. I then pick up your billwith payment and have to ring it into the cash register from the master ticket. When the ticket totals don't match than I have to figure out why. I did and informed you of such and made the adjustment. Simple as that. Your waitress is a dear friend and employee and very trusted. What a damn shame.

We have stayed in Wyndham Resort for the last 3 years and never knew this place existed. Marie was our server and she was excellent. She was helpful with Edisto information and she was just so nice!! The food was excellent! The table bread on the appetizer list was really good. I split a pizza with my husband and oh my goodness!!! It was enough for 2 people and it was delicious. They had an extensive alcohol menu. I would highly recommend this place!! I will be back!

We are a local seafood restaurant serving for lunch and dinner. We also offer a wide variety of non seafood items and amazing desserts.
We were looking forward to trying this place after reading some of the reviews. Ordered the stuffed shrimp and bacon was raw on two of them & others were barely cooked. My husband got the flounder/oysters which was only 1 small piece of fish & 5 oysters for a high price. They charge $1.50 for fries which they consider extra. His comment was Captain D's taste the same, actually better.I got the shrimp & grits which were alright, but I've had (and can make) better. The only thing good was the service. We won't return.

The seafood is out of this world. I had the shrimp and grits, my husband had fried shrimp. Both dishes exceeded our expectations. Our server was friendly but not overbearing. We were rewarded with a glorious sunset. What a view!

Well, we went at a recommendation of someone at the pool...We had planned to go elsewhere so since it is our last night, we decided to try it. When we walked it...it was "sit at any 4 top" so we did. Server came. Drinks? was her question. Hubby ordered root beer and I had water. I ordered the "fish tacos" and hubby ordered the flounder and shrimp. As she was leaving thee table (which was like zoom) I said can we have a calamari appetizer. She said ok, I then said can you make sure you bring that first....must have been what set her off "she said, you said app and I know to bring that first". Ok, didn't think anything of it. The calamari came and it was good. Fresh in a small basket. The food came out quick, it was hot. Fish is beer battered so hubby's flounder was HUGE like a blown up fish. My "taco's" were two cold tortilla shells, raw cabbage...I mean shredded RAW cabbage, no seasoning, nothing and a piece of beer battered flounder...Looked EXACTLY like something out of Captain D's and tasted the same. No flavor...some white drizzle over them but dry.. and bland. NO FLAVOR at all. Hubby said his was ok...just ok. Got the bill. I looked at the price of the calamari on the bill. I thought it said 18.95 and I called her over to see if that was right. She said YEP and walked away with the card. When she brought it back she said It is supposed to be 18.95 but I gave you an "app" and charged you $16.95. I swear, that was about .75 per piece, I have eaten calamari in fine dining places and it was not that much....She rushed us in and out. No Who was your dinner, would you like desert? NOTHING. We got up, left. The manager did come over just to say hello as she didn't see anything and told us to go look at their new patio. I will never go back. Overpriced for what you get, Our blonde young girl was a rude waitress and couldn't give a crap about us. Sad, The reviews look good until you dig. Hate it was our last day. Our bill was 57 dollars for two, we don't drink, were in and out in 30 minutes...that is how much we were appreciated.

Hushpuppies with whole corn kernals in the batter, Yum. French fries so plentiful could not finish. All this for $11.99.Service was really good, personable waitress.Don't miss this gem. Highly recommmend.

We were recommended here as a breakfast stop, even though they do also serve lunch and dinners at other times. The breakfast didnât disappoint- an extensive menu with many ways to make it your own with a variety choices. As British visitors it was a great chance to try âgritsâ (for Brits, this is like a porridge, but more like semolina) and âbiscuitsâ (look like scones but a more doughy/bready consistency) It was very busy on Sunday morning, obviously a popular day to go. There was an option to sit out on the deck, in the porch, or in the main hut (all not that big) Only negative was the wait. We got sat when a space came free after about 10mins, (fine as busy, and called us as soon as table free) but once seated we were sat with menus for at least another 10 mins or more, and once ordered drinks these seemed to take ages. It was clearly busy and every order is cooked fresh to order, so once order placed a wait for the food was acceptable. Despite this we wanted to go back as the breakfast was so good, and it may be quicker on a less popular day. But we ran out of time. Well worth it if you take some patience on busy days!
