This McDonaldâs is located inside the Duncan Wal-Mart. As such, its sole purpose is to beckon and call to Wal-Mart patrons for a snack treat either pre- or post- shopping excursion. From an economic perspective, Iâd suggest that this partnership between the two MNC giants is a success because whenever Iâve been to this location (or any other McDonaldâs inside a Wal-Mart, for that matter), itâs been hectic and busy. And why not? The fruit pies have always been hot and fresh while the smoothies have been a cold delight. My one gripe with this location? Service can come across as a bit âroboticâ or disinterested at times. Such is the âMeâ Generation, I suppose ;)FOOD: 3/5SERVICE: 3/5VALUE: 4/5RECOMMENDATION: As far as McDonaldâs goes, this one reflects exactly what one should expect of this chain: relatively clean premises, efficient staff and decent food at a good price; however, I do admit to liking the stand-alone McDonald's location in town a bit better. Checked out the new power house on opening day! Took my 3 yr old son with me for a quick post workout lunch. I had the phad thai salad. It was huge, yummy and very filling! I also ordered one of the mylk shakes for my son! Was delicious ! They also gave us some free samples of juice, my son loved it! I will definitely go back. A place I can go and not worry about gluten or dairy! I didn't give it 5 because it was a bit pricey but lots of raw food places are!

We arrived just after lunch and the place was empty which was odd but the service was great. We only ordered appi's and beer so it was hard to judge the food quality but what we had was good. The service was quick and there were no issues with our order. I have been to may Original Joe's in Alberta & BC and have never in in one where there were children in the bar area.

We decided to have a family dinner here based on the website and other reviews. We expected a more modern, upscale environment which The Old Fork is not. However, the dishes that we ordered were well-priced, nicely presented and delicious. The service was very good and accommodating as we had a couple of toddlers with us. Got a good looking guy? Bring him for coffee and pie at the Pioneer Restaurant.After fighting traffic to get out of Victoria, itâs a great spot to stop and rest. The decor is fun. Set inside a log cabin with red cup lantern lights and a huge bison head watching over you, you just know the food is good.Greeted by a display case of delicious pies, One decides what to eat so that they can save room for pie. The kids options were reasonably priced and my daughter wolfed down her macaroni so fast that I didnât have time for a picture. They ended their kids meal with an u e cream cone which they ordered right from the ice cream display. We had the BBQ burger special for $10. My burger was a tad on the pink side so I sent it back. They gave me the option of recooking it for speed or to fire me up a new one. I chose the new one and it came hot, cooked through and delicious.My Hubble ordered Coconut Cream pie. Dusted with toasted coconut, it was scrumptious.Big scrumptious portion!Overall a good experience and oh yes, the coffee was great.What an awesome fully rounded review! We sure love your attention to detail just as we do! Is your hubby the one who danced in his chair after enjoying his pie? You should definitely eat here!It is so refreshing not eating at a chain restaurant. This diner offers a great menu and massive (American-sized) servings for an excellent price. The diner looks basic from the outside, but the food is excellent! I ate both dinner and breakfast here and I loved it!
