Things to do in Douglas
Douglas needed Sapporo Sushi and Japanese Steakhouse...Hibachi and Sushi. I went there for dinner opening night and the service was good, the ambiance was awesome, prices reasonable. This is by far my new favorite restaurant in town! Oyster appetizer, soft shell crab, Jalapeno Bomb appetizer with tempura jalapeno with crab and cream cheese and eel sauce...ohhh so YUMMY! Love this place!

It's not easy finding a place to eat in the wilds of Wyoming. We used our car's GPS and went to another place in Douglas first. It looked pretty crummy so we backtracked until we came to this place. The food was very good, the service also and it's in a convenient location, so I would recommend stopping here when travelling the I-90 through Wyoming.

We stopped here for lunch on advice of the downtown bakery owner, and the food was good. The wife enjoyed the patty melt and I similarly enjoyed a grilled cheese sandwich and bowl of house-made soup. The big detraction here, for us, was the smell of cigarette smoke throughout the non-smoking portion of the restaurant. Also, the restaurant is rather dimly illuminated--enough so to make it difficult to read the menu. Our server was friendly, informative, and efficient. We tried to get an ice cream treat in the parlor on our way out, but never found anyone tending the store.
A locally owned store offering freshly made food including fresh-made wings and tenders, breakfast sandwiches, house made pizza, sandwiches on house-baked bread and much more. We also stock a variety of Wyoming made products that make great gifts.
We went and got dinner here because there were no other options the night of the eclipse. All other restaurants in the area had very long waits or were closed to private parties. Thought the food here was very mediocre (my cheese burger was a completely flattened sandwich). The salads were fine. Everything was very costly, but we really had no other choice. For some reason we did not see this until now. We do apologize for the delayed response. The Eclipse hit everyone very fast and we worked hard to keep up. We do suggest to travelers to order fresh, but that day there was no way to keep up. Thank you for visiting Wyoming.

We checked their website and looked forward to their prime rib special. We arrived and were told the special was halibut--no prime rib. We weren't the only ones who came in looking for the prime rib. Although the place wasn't busy at all, service was uncoordinated. The salad bar was ordinary, with sad-looking greens. The menu described the chicken pompadoro as grilled--it was baked--tasty, but baked. The steak we ordered was nicely cooked. The wait after ordering was too long for not being busy. If this is rated #2, We're not sure what other Douglas restaurants have to offer.

I really like this subway because the food is good and the staff is very friendly. I have talked to the mgr several times and they make you feel at home. Also Susan makes my subway many days and they are always perfect. If you come at lunch come early because they are always packed. People in Douglas know good food.

We were here for a quick stop and I got a Roast Beef Classic and curly fries. So, for $5,75, I got a meal that filled me up, was 'real' food and was delicious! How can you beat that! Of course, I added the Horsey Sauce to my sandwich as I do love that option, but the sandwich was great--nice and juicy, good bun, and quick service!

I STILL CAN'T believe how good the food was at this truck stop. DON'T let the truck stop title dissuade you. It's got awesome comfort food. I simply had to get off the road to take a break and get dinner before heading back home or ALL the restaurants would've been closed when I arrived. Luckily I had a heads up from a trucker friend about this place. I got the chopped steak dinner which was a 10 ounce chopped beef steak smothered in mushrooms, onions and DELICIOUS brown gravy. I ordered it medium with crispy fries and that's how it arrived with a salad to start. It filled me up quicker than I anticipated SO I boxed up about half and I got a slice of cookies and cream pie which ALSO was great. I'd come off the road to eat here almost anytime. Some people ordered breakfast for dinner and those platters looked BIG and delicious too. This place is really a diamond in the rough.

The food was cold and the service was poor. The portion size of the meals have gotten smaller for the same price. Sad We are sorry to hear you had a bad experience at The Depot. We hope you will be back to give us another try. You can also call us at (307) 358-9999 to speak with a manager. We would love more details so we can correct this issue. Thanks for taking the time to let us know about your visit.
