We stopped here for lunch today and I got the Reuben and lunch mate had fish & chips. Bother we’re very good. We had the Brussel sprouts appetizer and it was fantastic, maybe the best dish I’ve ever had for this Vegetable. They brought it after the entree and were very apologetic, and rushed it out. The manager came by, took it off the bill and gave us a free dessert each. What more can I say, minor accident but made it right, and then some. Other restaurants have screwed up worse than this and not cared, these guys have a customer first mentality. Thank you for the review, we love serving you. please ask for me the next time you come in. Richard Villarreal General manager

My first time here was excellent and I’m sure follow visits are forthcoming. Excellent energy and crowd on a Tuesday evening and the servers did a great job keeping up. Spot on burgers and fries did not disappoint at all. Super diverse beer selection kept me more than entertained and hydrated.

I always enjoy eating at Sideboard. My favorites are their chicken salad sandwich made with delicious bread, fried brussel sprouts, peanut butter cookie, and their mac 'n cheese which is to die for! Their food is consistently delicious. The staff is always friendly. The only thing I dislike about this place is having to find a seat - it's hard to find a table even if you come early. There are some communal tables which is always a bit awkward and there doesn't seem to be many tables for just one or two persons. Often I've seen one person on a laptop sitting alone at a table for four and normally people don't want to share tables. So one star deducted for this. But it's the food that keeps bringing me back again and again.

My husband's choice for his birthday. We were warmly greeted by the front of the house, and everyone else working here despite a busy Saturday night. Seared ahi tuna and Australian Wagyu filet were perfectly prepared and presented as were all other dishes. Excellent service from all, especially our waiter Sergio. We plan to return. This is a good choice for a special event. Great wine choices. Finished with sorbet and complimentary dessert samples.

Domenico's is easily the best deli in Danville as witnessed by the line that is typically out the door unless you go at an off hour. They make fantastic, fresh sandwiches and have a variety of great salads. Since there is extremely limited seating indoors, and not a lot outside, you may have to go elsewhere to eat. Price is the only downside since the food is somewhat expensive.

The Peasant And The Pear

Went at last minute for lunch on a weekend day. Arrived just before 2 their closing time, and was not rushed. The food and service (William was our server) was great. Started with Bloody Mary’s and shared the poke appetizer. There were cherry tomatoes in with the tuna and avocado which I found a bit odd. The salmon fish tacos were really good and my guest had the mussels as her main, which were great and priced right. Had not been to the Peasant and the Pear in about 10 years, but will definitely go back.

My husband had never been there and decided to check out their happy hour. The patio was pretty empty for a Friday happy hour. Their happy hour menu has quite a few poke or ceviche options, neither of which sounded appealing to us at the time. We ordered their calamari and a tempura shrimp roll. They were both okay, but nothing special. With these two appetizers and 2 glasses of happy hour wine and 1 happy hour beer the bill was $42. Not the best value for the money. My husband called this visit "a swing and a miss". There are other options in the Walnut Creek area with better seafood happy hour items such as Wences.
