Reviews on American food in Danbury, Connecticut, United States. The strangers on Alfred Hitchcock's most famous train began their journey at Danbury, Connecticut's main station, along with thousands of other travelers over time. Now converted into the Danbury Railway Museum, the station and yards are open to visitors, with a collection of historic railroad cars and equipment. Just a few miles outside of the city's pretty historic center is Bear Mountain Reservation, a quiet forest parkland with hiking trails overlooking the calm waters of Candlewood Lake.

From their humble beginnings on South Main Street in Waterbury to now multiple locations throughout the state of Connecticut, Nardelliâs Grinder Shoppe continues to satisfy the need for fast and delicious meals. You can count on quality ingredients, huge
Nardelli's is a true sandwich shop, they have excellent bread and a really good selection of fillings & toppings. It's not a deli, but pretty close to it. The sandwiches are well filled, well prepared and well topped, the staff is always nice and the food is fresh & delicious. The only issue is that this isn't a traditional deli. They don't pretend to be, they are definitely a "sandwich shop", but they don't have all the cheeses / toppings / food that you might find in a deli, but that is a minor issue, what they have is great bread, great meats / food and great service.Hi Mark,Thank you so much for taking the time to write us such an awesome review. We are thrilled to hear that you enjoy everything from our bread to our fillings! We read and share every review with our entire staff, and we know this one will make them very happy. We appreciate your business and look forward to serving you again soon.Grazie!Nardelli's Grinder Shoppe

Ate here since it was attached to the hotel we were staying in. We ate fairly early and it was quite busy. The waitress was very good and attentive. I tried the new bloomin chicken and it was good. Would eat here again if staying nearby.

At Terra, your culinary adventure begins with flash fried calamari accompanied by saffron aioli and a zesty tomato sauce or carpaccio of filet mignon with black truffle vinaigrette. Twist your fork into linguine with New Zealand cockles, or forgo silverwa
PROs: good overall experience; fine food, spectacular Tiramisu'; great view of the nearby wood, truly relaxing.CONs: none really; probably the service wasn't very attentive. Booths might be better for 3 people than 4.Conclusion: Fine dining and pleasant atmosphere in a premium/luxury restaurant. Worth a detour if you have some time to chill and relax.

First time at Sycamore for lunch. The service was excellent: attentive, informed and pleasant without being intrusive. Food was ok. Sandwich fine but the chef had an off-day with the onion rings which were very doughy and heavy. My companion had sweet potato fries with maple syrup which he loved.Ambience was fun and there was a surprising positive buzz throughout lunch.

How could we be living in the Danbury area and never gone to 21 Lake Restaurant for Brunch? It was excellent. Really nice atmosphere, really great staff, and the food was yummy! We had the Chef's Omelet and the Eggs Benedict. The omelet had lots of veggies in it. Both portions were just the right size. The buffet that went with the brunch had a wide selection, too.Our server was Sahar. She was really friendly and came to check on us frequently. Chef Jamar came out from the kitchen and to see how we liked our food (which we did) and we had a chance to chat about Pittsburgh (where he is from), raising daughters, and living in CT. Very friendly gentleman.Overall, we had a very nice experience and will go back again!Dear Sandra, Thank you for choosing to join us for Sunday Jazz Brunch in 21 Lake Restaurant located in the Ethan Allen Hotel! We appreciate your business and we welcome your feedback. Many thanks for your 5 star review! We are thrilled you enjoyed the atmosphere and our food. More importantly, we are delighted you had the chance to meet both Chef Jamar and Sahar. They are both "rising stars" and we are extremely fortunate to have employees of their high caliber on our team. We are pleased you had a pleasant experience and will return. We look forward to welcoming you back again soon. Sandra, thank you once again for your kind and thoughtful review! Warmest regards, Janice Perna-NicholasGM, Ethan Allen Hotel & 21 Lake Restaurant / Bar

The Cheesecake Factory offers something for everyone featuring a wide variety of over 200 menu items prepared fresh to order each day, plus over 30 legendary varieties of the Finest Cheesecake.
There was an hour wait to be seated, but we shopped at the mall until our time, so didn't mind too much. The food was good, and service was good, but the place is too loud. With all the people and the music playing the four of us had to practically shout at each other to be heard. Probably will not go back for that reason. We got our cheesecake to go.We are so sorry for this disappointing experience with us. You have every right to feel the way you do. We will address this with our team. Next time if there is anything about your experience that can be improved, please let our managers know so we can do our best to make it right. Thank you for taking the time to share this with us.

This is a compilation of several visits to MP. I will start by saying that I have only sat in the bar area - not in the dining room itself. I am new to this area so the location is very good for me and has become a favorite. It is almost easy to drive by MP - it is a bit nondescript next to a car lube/car wash place. Overall, MP is a great place, good food, good service and a generally interesting atmosphere most evenings. Parking can be a bit of a problem when it is crowded which is my only real complaint. I have been to the bar there a number of times - for meals or just for drinks - both alone and with friends. They have a pretty diverse menu and I have enjoyed just about all that I have tried. I often go with the meat and cheese plate or the Mediterrainein Sampler. Both are tasty and not too much food. The larger meat and cheese plate is great to share. They have a couple different creations using Brussel Sprouts - both of which are very good. Like most of the new places, they do focus on craft cocktails and the bartenders are good at their work. Sometimes it seems a bit much for just a drink, but some people really like that. I typically have wine when I am there and the bartenders are very good about mentioning their wine specials and offering plenty of options. The bartenders are extremely friendly and attentive and certainly add to the experience.I would highly recommend Market Place in Danbury. Good food and service and an overall enjoyable atmosphere.

We were looking place to eat and a quick overnight stop in Danberry. We found Rosy Tomorrowâs and what a perfect place. The minute you walk in the door someone was smiling and saying hello how are you. The bar was the perfect spot for us. The bartender Pat made us feel like we came in everyday. The food was wonderful. Much more than we expected. It was Octoberfest with wonderful German specials. If weâre ever back in the area I know where will end up

There are many reasons to visit Black Angus but one of the best is the bar staff. Jim, and if you're lucky Kylie, provide intuitive warm service that make it special. We, as many others continue to visit despite numerous other options nearby.
