The Music Cafe

Met a friend for lunch here. Fresh, homemade soups were excellent, cream of crab and coconut curry red lentil. Loved the Sinatra Sandwich. Locally owned by people who work here and do the cooking. Check the website for details about music performances. Dining room was quiet enough at lunch for conversation. It's set back from Rte 27 (Ridge Road) just a bit so look for the sign next to the animal hospital. Serves beer and wine. Prices are very fair for the quality and quantity of the food. Hope to return often.

Truly great service every time. Menu has a wide selection. The Rachel sandwich was cooked just right and delicious. The open faced roast beef sandwich and turkey sandwich are both served with the same gravy; would have been better with appropriate gravies. The crab cake melt was also well cooked and delicious. The onion rings were uneven in quality. One time they were cooked just right and other times they were over cooked and way too crispy.I felt the prices were fair to slightly high.A nice place to go for casual dining.

Was heading back from Master club competition and stopped for dinner with family. The pizza and service was fantastic. We had Julia as a server and she did a great job. The bathrooms needed to be cleaned up a bit and trash cans emptied, but that was probably because they were pretty busy. You can get coupons off at moneymailer.com Julia took off the coupon , by just showing her the coupon on the phone.

The restaurant was only open for 3 weeks upon our visit. They have a central bar with multiple tv's in a rectangular format around the bar. However they are showing the same sports event on the same tv's in that section. Each tv should show a different event in that section. I don;t need to see the same basketball game on 2 tv's next to each other. The waitresses were super nice and attentive. However, our food was super slow to arrive. It took 40 minutes for a Reuben and burger to arrive. The fries were cold by the time the food arrived. It was like the fries had sat in the kitchen waiting for the other food to be prepared. There was no seasoning on the fries, and no salt or pepper shakers on any tables. I don't know of any restaurants that don't have these readily available. Now for the positives. The burgers and Reuben were excellent and nicely priced. They ran $12-14 and was valued nicely for the portion you received. They need to get the kitchen moving faster or people will not return. There were only 8 tables occupied, so there shouldn't be a slow down when it was dinner time. Also they need to have flavored wings if they are going to be a sports bar. You need choices.

I was introduced to Tom & Ray's fried chicken back in the 1960s when we came from NY to visit our cousins here in MD. The same family owns the place since then despite moves and temporary closures. The fried chicken dinner was delicious and a very good deal price-wise. My dining partner had the cream of crab soup and crab cakes, specials that were just a little pricier. The dining room is casual. Service was friendly and prompt. Lots of locals are seen here, and often a familiar face to say hello to. Thanks for taking the time to submit a review and we are pleased that you enjoyed your experience! We strive to always be friendly and welcoming--it's great that you appreciate that. We hope to see you soon so you can enjoy one of our homemade desserts along with your fried chicken. Thanks again!
