We went to Scottyâs for dinner. It was worth the trip. The restaurant is a bit out of the way but the food was heavenly. The burgers were excellent and the wings were the best Iâve had in Ireland. The chips were lovely and the burgers were cooked perfectly. Iâm sorry we didnât have room for desert. The desert menu makes a great spot for dessert and coffee or tea.

I always enjoy eating here. There is a reason it will remind you of Johnny Rocketâs or Eddie Rocketâs! For American craving a taste of home, this is the place. Easy to find near Eyre Square. Burgers, hot dogs, fries, onion rings, shakes, etc. And American mustard, not English!

This was my first visit to BoTown and I will be back. I had the Smokey burger option and it was very good, perfectly cooked. The chips were great also. The service was quick and friendly and as it was early evening we didn't have long to wait.Delighted you enjoyed your time with us Pete! I'm just gutted I wasn't there to greet you myself but hopefully I'll catch you again soon. Thanks a million for dropping in and for taking the time to post a review. Started by two friends who wanted to bring the taste of American style chili to Ireland, The Chili Shack started life as a little shack on wheels that toured around this fine Country and fed the masses at festivals. Now The Chili Shack Boys are bringing t
Iâve been coming to Chili Shack since the day they opened (literally) & they must be under new management because the most recent visit was not anywhere near the old standard. The man serving matter of factly told me that they wouldnât honour my loyalty card of 7 stamps because the new loyalty card has 12 stamps to get a free one. I said Iâve been coming here since the loyalty card had 5 stamps on it and the server told me âwell thatâs what the manager told us to doâ and the company was losing profit because staff were giving out 2/3 stamps per meal (idea: punish the misbehaving staff, not the paying customer). And apparently he was being super sound by giving me a stamp because my meal cost â¬6.50 and stamps are only for meals over â¬7.50, also a new rule. Cheers man. Staff in here used to be the charm of the place - youâd always be met with a smile and great service but the staff were abrupt and rude. They looked at me like I had ten heads when I asked for chili flakes which used to be standard. In fact, today was the first day ever Iâve seen chill shack empty at dinner time. Perhaps this is why. The prices have gone up and portion sizes decreased dramatically. Instead of chili on my rice and chips, I got a tiny spoon of rice, 1/2 handful of chips and chilli tucked in on the side which turned to mush when I had to mix it together. Food was sub-par comparing to old Chili Shack and lukewarm. Lots of your previously loyal customers told me it had gone down hill significantly but I decided to see for myself. Unfortunately they were right.

The restaurant itself looks ok. Toilets are clean but mirror- less. They were busy so it took a while for the waitress to come around. Staff was nice. The food was pretty bad. Nachos, hands down, the worst I have ever eaten, cold, disgusting cheese and a bizarre sweet chilli sauce on top and a drop of guacamole, the size of a euro coin. Really, really bad. Burger also had strange sauces in them, lukewarm, not great, the sweet chilli wrap, again not warm enough, and very mediocre. Very reasonable priced, but reflected in the food. Disappointing, a complete let down.
