Things to do in Chino Valley
The sandwiches were very good. Grilled tuna & Rubin came with a drink and choice of potato salad or chips, & a cookie. The woman taking the orders brought out our orders to our table.Thank you for coming in!!!
I do not expect kindness at a gas station. I expect impersonal service that lasts 30 seconds, in a hygienically challenged building. I was surprise at the wonderful customer service that I experienced at the Maverick Country Store in Chino Valley. I was visiting friends in the area and we stopped into the local Maverick to fill the tank. I asked the attendant how long it had been since they brewed the decaf. Without a moments hesitation and with a big smile she said, "let me brew you a fresh pot". The coffee was great. The service was great. I wish I knew the employee's name so that I could recognize her to her company. I hope my review will bring this business the recognition that it deserves. What a great face for Chino Valley.

A family-style restaurant in Chino Valley, Arizona, with quality American food and professional catering services. Bonn-fire chillin' & grillin' specializes in freshly prepared food made on site. It's so good, customers drive from miles away to eat here!
The food is generally good though they have some off days. There is a lot of deferred maintenance that should be done that affects the overall customer experience. The bathroom smell is bad throughout the right side of the restaurant. The front door has been broken for a year and the vinyl seats in the booths are torn and duck taped.

We were there for breakfast and was very pleased and delighted. This is the type of places we like to find to eat while traveling. Off the beaten path so to speak, locally owned and operated with efficient servers and staff. Kim (wife) had fruit. Did not realize until this western trip how difficult it was to find fruit for breakfast, but Gabby's not only had fruit but several options. Tea was great as they also offered French Vanilla creamers. Bacon, eggs and french toast was really good, and all at a very reasonable price. This is the place the "locals" go, so you should to.

The service is fast and friendly and the BBQ is superior. I like the polish sausage and the tri-tip. Their home made sauces really set off the flavor of the meat. The side I like the best is the potato salad.

This place was packed when we visited for lunch at noon on Sunday and we thought it was going to be forever before we ate. Much to our surprise, the staff handled the crowd well and we were seated fairly soon. Although it took a little while for the waitstaff to come to our table, our order was taken quickly and surprisingly the meals were delivered pretty quickly. The food was wonderful and the waitstaff friendly and attentive. Certainly worth trying when in the area.
