Three of us had dinner. The "old" old fashioned was excellent. Nice menu choices and well prepared and presented. The coconut shrimp appetizer was very good along with pina colada dip. The lake trout was very fresh and excellent.Very attentive waitress who was friendly and knowledgable.

About 10-12 ladies, former school mates, from Falconer, went for lunch! We had fast, great service, along with scrumptious food! A couple had homemade corn chowder, with a half sandwich! A lot of interest roseup, when the HUG, taco shell, salad arrived! A couple more ladies had the cantaloupe salad! I had the grilled salmon, salad! Of course, I couldnât leave, without a warm piece of homemade grape pie!!

Small and Large Plates with Wine, Cocktails, and Beer in a Victorian Chautauqua home. Serves Lunch, Dinner and Drinks
There are many wonderful places to eat at Chautauqua. This is not one of them. Crowded bar. Good drinks and youngish people. Ordered gin martini. Not one known brands. Five mysterious brands. One of them described at naval gin. We had two. Awful. Tasted like ethanol. Sat down to dinner with two ok Stella Artois. Ordered the burgers. Ok. But pounding music was not appreciated. I will never go for dinner again. Maybe a drink. Popular brands of whiskeys. But no to dinner.

My last morning at Chautauqua, I wanted to be in this 100+ year old hotel dining room. The $13 buffet seemed fair, since it included drinks/all you could eat. While not outstanding food, the pleasure of the room itself made the experience memorable.

Welcome to Webb's Captains Table! Webb's is a third generation family business started in 1942 by Paul and Nadine Webb and carried on today by second generation Jim and Sally Webb, and third generation Ben Webb. Our main dining rooms provide a comfortable
We live on the lake and decided to take friends for lunch at Webb's. Seeing that there were 7 of us, I made reservations ahead of time. We entered on the main floor and told the hostess that we had reservations for 7 on the deck. She grabbed 7 menus then just stared at me to the point I had to look away. She finally said "just go upstairs". So we did and the process repeated with a waitress on the upper deck. She was not prepared for our party of 7 and had to set up a table. I watched in amazement as she put a round table next to a square table to have seating for 7. It was horrendous. Those who sat where the round met the square had a very awkward table setting. The service was average. The noise from the road at times made it impossible to hear the conversation. Finally, the prices for an awkward table setting, noise, and average service were out of line. I paid $18 for a salad that did NOT have any protein. Mind you, this was a weekday and after the summer season. We will not be returning to Webb's.

Dad and I sought out this little place based on the TA reviews. So glad we did! Very convenient to the Chautauqua Institution, where we were staying. Dad had eggs, bacon and an english muffin. I asked for a half order of traditional eggs benedict - and they were happy to oblige, thankfully (I can't eat that much!) Both orders came with fruit garnish. The building was built before 1900, and was a general store for years. It really brought to mind the general store in the small town where I grew up! We enjoyed our meal so much that we returned on our last day before heading home. Don't miss this charming cafe.

We were booked in to the Athenaeum Hotel for a week as part of a group program which included all meals. Our first meal was a buffet with roast turkey and all of the sides. The food was cold. I even checked under the serving units to see if the Sterno was working .The next morning, with pancakes, the result was the same-cold food. On the evenings that there was a served meal the service was agonizingly slow. The entree selections were less tan appetizing. The wait staff had to be prompted several times to bring beverages and dessert. On one evening, we almost missed the concert due to the ineptitude of the staff. One of the positives is the lake view. If you can get an outside table, the view of Chautauqua Lake was impressive.Otherwise, dine somewhere else if you can.

Itâs tucked away on the lower level next to the spa. They have an inside dining room where we sat, plus an outside patio. Very nice. The lobster and crab cake appetizer was excellent. Hubby and I shared twin filets with risotto and asparagus. Excellent. There is an $8 plate charge for sharing. Our friends had salmon and said it was very good. Prices are a bit high but appropriate for setting and location. I wouldnât dine here on a regular basis, but itâs perfect for special occasions.

We visit Chautauqua every summer. Normally eat a pizza at Andriaoccioâs. Always very good. Tonight we decided to order in via their web site. Chicken picatta and roasted Walleye. Two salads, garlic bread. It was great. So much better than we expected. Can I say world class? Certainly at home at the Italian gun club. Highly recommended.
