So flavor is SMOKE which is the idea. This fact alone puts American Smokehouse Stadium above most BBQ joints. I am NOT saying who is the BEST BBQ. Everyone has their own taste but I am confident American Smokehouse Stadium is one of the BEST you will ever have. My wife and I went in and tried MANY different meats and sides on our first visit. We both agreed that the brisket is possibly the BEST we ever had. I also liked the pulled pork and chicken pretty well but my wife said they weren't her favorites. I also had 6 wings with a couple different sauces. I liked them for being meaty, but they weren't the BEST I ever had. The several different BBQ sauces at American Smokehouse Stadium have very good flavor. The side of green beans were of good quality and had bits of brisket in them. The Cole slaw was the typical good Cole slaw I have had elsewhere. Both of those sides were worthy of ordering again. Here is a good tip for you. Do NOT order french fries if you favor crispy fries. These fries get real soft, real fast. I am told the tater tots are much better and we will try them out next time. There is a piece of Texas toast included with the entree and it was okay. Our server, Lindsay was very good with her attention to details, visits to our table and honest suggestions that were in line with what we found accurately described. We plan to go back soon and order brisket again with Tater Tots and perhaps another side.

I dined inside Captain's Quarters with a group of 10 and our server, Sydney was fantastic. She kept everyone's bills separated and made sure our drinks kept coming. I ordered the margarita pizza and it was delicious. Everyone else commented that their meals were tasty as well. The atmosphere is very nice with great views. When I was leaving the parking lot, there were 3 cars waiting for my spot!!! The place was packed!!! That should tell you something.
When we first moved to this area of town, we frequently dined at the Melrose Inn, a local staple and original home of Derby Pie. It was like having dinner at someone's home, with cozy areas, and comfort food specials. Melrose Café has arrived not in a rural setting, but part of a strip mall, in an area still close to rolling hills and horse farms. The menu was not extensive, but had good variety, and also offered the option of "breakfast for dinner", which looked pretty appetizing from what we saw at an adjoining table. My husband had the stir fry, and I got the angel hair pasta with veggies. A side salad was beautifully prepared, with a tasty Basilicata dressing - all fresh. Dinner was good, but we split a dessert - the strawberry shortcake - which was magnificent.

This was one of those âweâre hungry and itâs time to get off the interstate stopsâ. It is right off I-65 in a non descript strip shopping center. The food was surprisingly good. My wife had the brisket sandwich that had a huge portion of moist, nicely smoked beef on it. I had the smoked ham sandwich. It was delicious. Smoky with a touch of sweetness. We each had the Mac n cheese. Very good. Will stop there again when traveling though the area.

The Cracker Barrel was a short walk away from the hotel, so that was convenient. We didn't even have to move our car to go eat.We had several gift cards from friends, so we decided to use one for breakfast. We lucked out this time and had an excellent meal with an excellent waitress, Dawn.We were seated just about right away and she was right there getting our drink order. As soon as she brought our drinks we gave her our order. It was ten minutes or less when she brought our food over. She kept our drinks full and checking up on us without being intrusive about it.My husband was so impressed he even talked to the manager about how good she is at her job. And that is a rare compliment indeed.I ordered the Parfait breakfast with yogurt, fruit, granola, scrambled eggs whites (which my husband ate) and turkey sausage. My husband had the Cowboy Chops. Pork chops with eggs, hash browns, and I believe, biscuits and gravy.Everything was great and we really enjoyed our time there.Next time you go through Sellersburg Indiana, be sure to stop by and give Dawn a big "Hello!"

Today was our stop in Charlestown IN at 62 Twist. I am so glad we did. Everything ordered was delicious. One of the best beef briskets I have ever had. My wife ordered chicken rice soup. MMMM! GOOOD! Had to have a Sunday before leaving. Overall I was very impressed with everything. Appearance, friendliness of staff and delicious food. Anyway, the first visit (only because we have never been to Charlestown before) was a good experience. If ever in Charlestown again, will definitly make this place to eat.We are so glad you enjoyed your meal with us! Stop in and see us again!

Dined in for dinner with family of 9. Variety of options to choose from. Was interested in chicken salad. Server bought me a sample to help me decide. It was excellent! Chose lettuce instead of bun. Others ordered fried shrimp, turkey burger, club sandwich, and mac n cheese. No complaints. Would visit again if ever in the area again.

Visited for my birthday. We had cocktails and a bottle of wine. The cocktails were well-prepared and excellent. The nachos appetizer was also great, as was the burger.
