We arrived at the restaurant on a Monday evening in March. The smell of smoked barbeque was extremely appetizing. Although it was a warmer evening and outside seating was available, we opted for a mini Sampler (a few pieces of each meat) with mac n cheese, cole slaw, and green bean casserole to go - around $15. While waiting, we nosed around and took note of the neat layout. Summer time could easily be best spent here on their deck overlooking the river. We also noted they are handicap friendly. The only thing we weren't sure on was the parking situation. A sign said they had more parking further down the road (as that's where they prefer their eat-in customers to park) but parking out front does feel a little tight. When we finally sat down to eat, we found the meat to be tender and juicy. Perfect smokey taste (not overly sweet, not overly vinegared, etc like other BBQ recipes) with delicious sides to go with it. And the proportions were just right for the two of us. Will be back soon!

Noah's simplified menu is refreshing and has something for everyone. The food is high quality and thoughtfully prepared. I had a delicious grilled romaine salad followed by crab encrusted scallops tempura. The meal was delicious and the scallops prepared perfectly. This was followed by lava cake with their house made vanilla ice cream, which is remarkable. Everyone at the table commented on the ice cream. The price point makes this restaurant a special occasion treat.

The lunch menu is the only thing available from 11:00 - 5:00, and it is limited to burgers, sandwiches, and salads. I ordered a Cubano, but apparently they didn't have all the ingredients to make it. Those missing items also knocked a few other sandwiches off the menu. Their chicken club was not a club sandwich at all - it was a big fried chicken breast with bacon and swiss cheese - but it was tasty. My daughter had a burger, and it was not overcooked () . Service was friendly, but not particularly attentive. Overall, we're glad we found this place, but wish we could have ordered off the dinner menu, which looked great.

We stayed at the Embassy Suites in Charleston and had dinner here at the Tidewater Grille basically across the street. The Tidewater Grill is part of the downtown mall in Charleston. There is easy parking associated with the mall itself, but it was only a two-minute walk or so to our hotel and would be convenient to much of downtown. The interior has lots of wood and has a nice, if not overly fancy, ambience. The restaurant, as the name tells you, focuses on seafood and they have fresh deliveries twice a week. I know one day is Thursday, so Thursday and Friday are great. If memory serves, I believe the other day was Monday. We were here on a Friday and the fish was quite fresh. We had the jerk shrimp as an appetizer and liked it. The crab cakes had a lot of crab, which we also liked as some restaurants are far heavier on the filler than this one was. Our entrees were also very good, although one member of our party found the salmon pasta to be a little bland. The portions were on the large side. They have a relatively small wine list, but had no trouble finding a good white that complemented our meal. Our service was maybe not the most polished, but they were friendly and attentive, and those are the most important things.Charleston is likely hundreds of miles from the nearest ocean, but we enjoyed our meal and would recommend it if you have a hankering for sea food.

Have been to this restaurant a few times, and each time I am pleased. It's a quaint restaurant near the Capital, with a down home feel. Food choices are great - have had bruch, lunch and dinner. Have been with one other person, and with a group of 8. Always have the same experience - great food, great service and wonderful dining

Took forever to get someone to take our order but it appeared there was only one server. Once she got to our table, she was very responsive and good. The Lavender Martini was really good and creatively presented (see the attached picture). The Manhattan wasnât the best. First, they didnât add the staple maraschino cherry so I had to take it back to the bar for one so it was a true Manhattan. The food was good for most, I thought it was so-so. The atmosphere is really cool and if we were here at a different time of day, the atmosphere would have been so much better. And for the men, hopefully you donât need to âdrop a deuceâ because they only have urinals in the menâs room. Oh, and donât come between 2:30 and 3:00 because they switch menus from brunch to lunch and only serve appetizers.

I joined friends for a late lunch while on business this weekend in Charleston. The aroma was delicious, and that small didn't lie. The ribs were succulent. I got the 2-meat Grill Master Combo, opting for the $2 surcharge to include brisket. The ribs were done right, though they were TINY and the portion size wasn't that large, either. I think they served me a few of the tiny "riblet" trimmings, but not the actual ribs. The brisket was good, not sliced with any expertise, but still good. My sides of choice were the greens and the sweet potato casserole. Both were fine, the casserole, quite good, but again portions were way too small. Greens cost very little, but they were sure stingy on them, and of course no offers for more. No offers for drink refills, either. We got plastic forks, and no knives, which wasn't very thoughtful of the management. Still, the meat was good. A friend suggested to top things off with the banana pudding. Did I say banana? Did I say pudding? Uh, better call it vanilla wafer wall paper paste. No banana to be found, and not custard, just way too many wafers held together with some sort of canned GOO. It was, sorry to say, NASTY! Why they think this cold gelatanus mess is banana pudding is beyond me. DON'T ORDER IT!!! Still, I recommend stopping here for the barbecue.

This is one of two restaurants we eat at every time we come to Charleston. I think I could eat breakfast, brunch or lunch here everyday. I tried one of their spring specials Smoked Salmon Tzatziki Toast and potatoes. This was probably one of the best dishes I have ever had. I am hoping to make it back to Charleston again before this special is gone.

We stopped in without a reservation and had a 30 minute wait. Fortunately for us two seats opened immediately at the bar. THe bar tenders were excellent and took the time to discuss the menu and the different beers available. The place was filled with people and the atmosphere was like one big party. Easy to make friends with other bar patrons. The food was perfect, the beer delicious and the service impeccable! Thanks for the awesome review! Come back and see us!

We were visiting Charleston and wanted to have a nice dinner. I was able to call and make reservations the day of for a party of three (online reservations would have been nice). Parking is free in the attached lot. We were greeted by name. The service overall was excellent and we all loved our food. I had the petite filet, which was cooked and seasoned perfectly. My only very small suggestion is to serve the shrimp cocktail on crushed ice. If I ever make it back to WV I will definitely dine at Lauryâs.
