Good food and friendly people, what more can you ask for? It's my favorite breakfast spot in town and I always go when I visit Canon City. Try the Lester special, it's delicious and filling and keeps me full through the entire day.

Beautiful space outside and in. Food was great. I rated a 4 because service was a bit lacking. The waitress did not seem to interested in making sure we had everything we needed such as refills.

We went on a Thursday for a later lunch upon the recommendation of my sons friend who grew up here. This restaurant has been owned by the same family since the 40s! The resultant has several booths that were all full at 2pm and a few tables, as well as a counter/bar. The room is kind of rough, but was clean. The servers, as well as the family were very pleasant and helpful.The menu is limited, burger, cheeseburger, double, triple, grilled cheese, chips, fries, shakes. The burgers are thin, cooked to order, tasty and pretty cheap. There were what appeared to be a lot of locals,always a good sign.

Stopped by here on our way out of town. We just visited the cafe part of this restaurant for a quick coffee and grabbed a slice of cheescake. The staff were super friendly and knowledgeable. They do offer almond milk and other alternatives which was a plus for me. It looked like a great local hotspot.

As far as breakfast restaurants go, there is absolutely nothing different or out of the ordinary available at Chuck's. It's the same-ol' same-ol' choices: eggs prepared however you want them, pancakes, French toast, hash browns, and the like. My breakfast consisted of scrambled eggs, bacon, hash browns, and toast; my partner ate French toast with scrambled eggs. Everything was prepared well, and portion sizes were decent.Our server was friendly and efficient, and took good care of us while there. All in all, ours was a generally unmemorable BUT wholly uneventful experience, and we left with bellies full of pretty-decent food.

Don't be turned off by the location attached to a gas station - this diner is the real deal. The waitresses here were incredibly friendly despite being overwhelmed with multiple large groups arriving at once. The retro decor was fun. But most importantly the food was excellent. Try the huge pork burrito smothered in green chili! Burgers, dogs, french dip, walking tacos all excellent.thank you so very much. we hope to see you again . don

We travel to Canon City from Salida frequently. We have just never stopped due to timing and it's closed during the fall and into the spring. It's a fun environment, open to the fresh mountain air with great food. The food is a casual style and top-notch. We had burgers and would love to try many of their other offerings. Shayna was a fun server and became almost a friend. Perhaps we can go back before they close again for the winter. Seriously, ask for Shayna.

Stopped in just as a way to get a quick bite before a rafting trip for kids who like pizza.Upon walking in the unique decor caught our eye and gave my kids something to talk about.Once we ordered and got our food we dug into large portions and good quality pizzas (and a chef salad with A LOT of meat). The price was reasonable, the wait staff was friendly and attentive and the time to get our food was pretty fast. Even when it got crowded quickly, we got refills, boxes and our check as soon as we asked for them.I would recommend.

This restaurant was amazing. The food was absolutely awesome and servings were huge! Our server, Peyton, was very polite, speedy, and accommodating. The best part of this place is the beautiful and very large outdoor area. It has couches, volleyball, horseshoes, and really cool handmade wooden furniture.
