Stop by everytime you pass by and join us for cozy Family Dining. Conveniently located right off highway 50 at the gateway to Apple Hill. Enjoy dining on our amazing patio with one of the "Best Views" in Apple Hill.
I have been coming to this location for the last 30+ years. The quality of food has had it's highs and lows during that time. While the service was always adequate the experience was average at best. THAT HAS ALL CHANGED. We dropped in for lunch on August 30th on our way back from our cabin up the hill. There was a sign outside that stated that the restaurant was under new management and we also noticed the change of name. This was a totally new experience. The cleanliness, service and quality of the food were stellar. We met Russell the restaurant manager. He shared a bit of info on the couple that now own the place. You can tell that they really want to make this a go to spot east of Placerville. They have indoor and outdoor dining. The outdoor terrace is second to none as views go. Once again a totally satisfying experience all the way around.Don't forget to get a couple of pieces of the homemade apple strudel to go, it will knock your socks off. Well done!

First, let me say the waiter we had was terrific. You can tell he takes his position seriously. That said, he had a terrific sense of humor. The wine list is quite nice and reasonable. We absolutely adored the appetizers we had. They were creative and delicious. Our main courses were a little less creative, but quite good. We will definitely be back to this restaurant when we are in or passing through Placerville!

Our friends loved this place, so they invited us to join them. A unique experience! It's underground, in a cellar of a 19th-century building. We were seated in the "Powder Room", as in gunpowder, next to a closed off mine shaft. All of the walls are stone, and it's only because of the space heaters that we were warm enough on a cold rainy night. The menu is extensive. We had the filet mignon (very tender) and the skirt steak (delicious), with house salads. Everything was very good. Service was excellent. Prices are in the mid-30's, expected for the quality of food.Definitely memorable. 2 thumbs up!

Seems you drive and drive to get to this little hideaway spot, but it's worth it. Friendly and prompt service, and food is really good. The atmosphere is really noisy though. Especially when they get a karaoke going. Hard to hear each other while you're talking. Especially liked the fries! Burger was a burger, and price was reasonable.
I get fast, excellent service when I get food here. The food is always very tasty. Tough to go wrong with a sandwich! They are very attentive, to make sure your order is prepared correctly, and all the sandwiches are good.
Char Broiled Burgers, Hot Pastrami Sandwiches, Local Beers and Wine, Dog Friendly Outdoor Patio, Frappe.
vale a parada para quem está na região , o hamburger é imperdÃvel , feito com cuidado no fogo na frente do cliente, realmente foi uma experiência gastronômica!
Amazing pizza and wings. Right off HWY 50. Seriously best wings!! They make amazing sauces as well. The Gyro pizza is my fav. The Spicy Hawaiian is my husbands but itâs spicy!!

Considered Pollock Pines, but menu shows address as Camino. Location: First Pollock Pines exit US Hwy. 50 East toward South Lake Tahoe.
Cold, blizzardy evening and Pollock pines and this was the first place I stumbled onto for dinner.Service was fast and friendly. Steak was tasty, although it was fried. French fries were fresh and they were also very good.but the salad with the blue cheese salad dressing was my favorite part of the meal.I'm not sure, but the blue cheese tasted fresh and homemade.if it wasn't homemade I definitely want to find out where they got it.

Had the beef stroganoff and it was.... Comforting and delicious! The chunks of beef were plentiful, the noodles were clearly home made, the spaetzle was tangy and the perfect accompaniment to the stroganoff, and server Debbie was excellent in her service and knowledge of the available meals. It was a great evening. We ended with the Apple strudel as a take home and it was the perfect sweet and delicious end to a great meal! My friends had the cordon bleu and the mixed skewer and they were very pleased with those meals. Btw, have the strudel with ice cream... Cannot go wrong! !
