A friend and I wanted bagels, but the particular bagel shop was closed. There's always lots of cars at Sunny Side Up Diner, so we decided to give it a try. We were happy we did. I had an egg and cheese quesadilla with hash browns and my friend had a meaty burrito with home fries. Everything was excellent. The hot food arrived quickly and our service was great. The place is clean and shiny. We will definitely return!!

Casual Dining restaurant on North Carolina Coast
This is the seafood restaurant we all love at the beach. Been there for years .All kinds of seafood cooked to order, fresh out of the water. The servings are generous and cooked just right. When the food arrived at our table, the conversation ceased for a long while! Love the true Calabash style done to perfection. Good value for top notch seafood.

We went early on Saturday and was able to get a table. We had the shrimp cocktail and piggy river rafts for appetizer. Both were good. I had the crab cakes and potato au gratin for dinner. My friends had the steamer pot. Nice atmosphere and good service.

Stopped here for dinner and we were there a little before the dinner rush. By the time we left the line was almost wrapped around the building. Service was fast and we had our meal super quick. All food is fried. I had stuffed shrimp they were large and tasty. Hubby had flounder and a huge amount of shrimp. Coleslaw was good not too sweet and no onions. Hush puppies were better than most. Overall service and food was very good. On the negative side the plate glass windows right by the tables were dirty and really needed to be cleaned. There was quite a few flies which was a little bothersome.

Our son treated us to dinner at one of our favorite restaurants. It was his first visit but wonât be his last. We had sirloin steak (son), ahi tuna (me) and grouper (wife) and all were excellent. Calimari appetizer was also good. Excellent server (Lisa) was attentive but not obtrusive. Very nice evening.

Casual Restaurant Serving Calabash Style Seafood, Southern Style Meat & Vegetables, Sandwiches & Salads
A long time ago we made it a point to make a regular visit to the couple of waterside seafood restaurants in Calabash. Now it's so commercialized there that the true Calabash recipes have gotten lost - except at Gravy Southern Eatery. Enormous portions, perfectly cooked, and true southern sides. Good Calabash seafood is lightly breaded and not greasy - just like Gravy. But be prepared to wait to get a table. It's the most popular price around. Don't miss it. Oh and we're told the peach cobbler is crazy good....

What a wonderful evening. Drove from wilmington to meet Cousins for dinner. Atmosphere was very friendly. All four of us order different types of food. Prime Rib, Steak,Salmon and Chicken. Everyoneâs dinner was cooked to perfection! The house salad is just amazing. Most importantly our server Andrew F. was spectacular! Prompt, professional and friendly service! What a great night!

For $19.95 I received 4 grilled scallops and a 4 oz grilled black bass, french fries, cole slaw, 3 hush puppies. Fresh tasty seafood but they can surely increase the seafood on the plate. Without the french fries, cole slaw, and hush puppies it was more like eating an appetizer. Food was great but price should have been $11.95 and the service was excellent.

Johnny D's Waffles and Benedicts offers an innovated menu like no one else, a fresh atmosphere, tasty waffles, pancakes & french toast to make your taste buds do a little dance, not to mention a coffee and smoothie bar... come see us for a great breakfast
Hopefully you wonât be disappointed. I had the grand slam since it was my birthday, and everything: pancakes, eggs, bacon, and ham was great. My wife ordered a waffle with blueberries. The waitress returned after a few minutes and said they were out of blueberries. How can a breakfast place run out of blueberries? That was a disappointment. If it wasnât for the extensive menu it would have rated only three stars. Thanks for taking the time to rate and review us. Glad that you were able to find something to satisfy you for your birthday, we do have an extensive menu. What did she have instead? Hope that you will come back and visit us again in the future! - Chef Jamie
