Great hamburgers, soup and a salad bar. Good friendly service, lots of parking. When you tired of fast food or want to step up the quality a bit this is place.

I wanted something quick to take back to hotel to watch Monday night football. Just one person on duty but she was prompt, polite and made my sandwich exactly as I requested. This is my second time at this Subway and it is above average although Subways are usually pretty consistent.

This is the first restroom available after 123 miles from the Nevada border! (I already contacted the Oregon Department of Transportation about this oversight.) Needless to say, this is an oasis! We didn't just run in and use the restrooms and leave, though. In fact, there are signs on them stating for paying customers only, porta-potties in back for others. The restaurant looked inviting and you could tell by the number of customers in such a small out of the way location, that this place had something to offer. Unfortunately, we weren't hungry! And our car gets excellent mileage, so we didn't need gas. But we did get a lot snacks and drinks ($9 worth!) They had a reasonably good selection given their location and the snacks tasted fresh. The lady behind the counter was genuinely friendly.

This is my second visit in three years. Both times received good food in a pleasant environment. If you are traveling with anyone under 21 you will be seated away from the main-room, this cuts down on the social scene, I guess its some sort of Oregon law.

We stopped for lunch at Broadway Deli as we passed through Burns. It is conveniently located on the main street with indoor or outdoor sidewalk cafe seating. The soup, salad dressings. bread and baked goods, and probably more, are house made. We enjoyed our sandwich and tuna stuffed tomato very much. The service was excellent. The proprietor brought by to go cups to take our iced tea on the road. A great stop!

We were driving from Winnemucca Nevada to Bend Oregon and needed lunch. This place was highly rated (for good reason). We ordered the special of the day lunch which was a pumpkin seed pesto chicken salad with lettuce and onions. I also ordered soup. The soup was a vegetable, cabbage, beef, sausage soup with a vinegar tang that was great. The chef who also waited on us (he owns the place with his mother) gave us some pork loin Alfeddo pasta to share while we waited. It was incredible. The sandwhich came and it was also great.I told the chief that my only regret was that I wasn'y staying the night to have his spaghetti bolonaise sauce. I told him how I have thing for rich beef and ham with carrot sauce like I have had it in Itally. He described the ingredients he uses and I would wager I would love it as well. The chef and I appreciate your great review. Thanks for taking the time to let him know he did a good job. It was his pleasure to serve someone who truly enjoys food. Safe travels until we meet again.

If you[re in Burns to visit the Malheur Wildlife Refuge, stop by the Pine Room for dinner. Nice selection of dinner options, local beers and entree salads. Server got quite distracted chatting with friends sitting at a nearby table, but that was the only negative for us.
