Casual family friendly restaurant est 1996. Serving best quality produced cooked to order. Breakfast, Lunch, Evening meals and Sunday Roast. Cocktails and fresh serve yourself salad bar. 1960's 70s music and walls lined with memorabilia.
Busy, popular themed restaurant. They have gone to a lot of trouble to decorate the walls with posters and memorabilia relating to Elvis Presley, The Beatles etc. The music is 1950s and 1960s era. It's a nice place to eat. Very friendly, attentive staff. The quality of the food was rather variable, though. This is the sort of food I like - steaks, burgers, ribs, nachos with cheese, buffalo wings, the sort of thing you get at TGI or at Arbuckles. The buffalo wings tasted odd, and we didn't finish them. I don't know if the chicken was off, or the flavouring was at fault. The nachos were plentiful and very nice. My ribs in barbecue sauce were absolutely smothered in a thick sauce that might have come from a bottle, I don't know, but anyway it was nowhere near as nice as the Tennessee variant of the ribs which seemed to be marinated in something flavoursome. Ribs come with chips or salad - it would be healthier if they provided vegetables instead of making them an optional side order. The salmon was good. The "rest rooms" consisted of one male and one female cubicle and they could do with greater capacity there. Beer nicely chilled. Might try this restaurant again if we're in the area.

Burger was ok, coleslaw too coarse and coffee cups taken away with no offer of refill, Wouldn't go out of the way to go again need to be a bit more attentive towards their customers,

I have visited Grumpy's quite a few times. Our latest visit was for an early dinner as we were feeling peckish.Their milkshakes are delicious, they come with everything, cream, cherries and a flake. This visit i enjoyed their steak and rib combo with curlyfries. Nice big portions and their curly fries are especially delicious. They have lots of nice American styled food such as burgers and hot dogs plus a large selection of meals , including a nice choice for my vegetarian sister. Always enjoyed what ever i have eaten. They also do an amazing breakfast. Their full England is really good, also their steak and eggs. The only downfall is the pancakes.. No maple syrup!! Occasionally had their cocktails and those i can also highly recommend! I would definitely recommend Grumpy's Diner, never had a bad meal, always friendly staff, especially Ryan, he is a credit to the Diner! Don't miss the chance to eat here.
