We and our friends moved from Laredo a couple years ago and about once a month we try to meet for lunch, we live about 180 miles apart now. We picked Brady, Tx for this month and Boondocks because of the reviews on TripAdvisor and we were not disappointed, the menu which is written on the wall behind the registers is pretty extensive and it was not easy to make a decision. I went with the special, Cat fish with two sides. The Catfish was good, fries very good and the salad ok but the blue cheese dressing was great. My wife had the grilled chicken wrap and it was very good, our friends had the oysters which were good but small and the Phili steak sandwich. The orders were brought to the table, did I mention you order at the register, get your drink etc. and sit? The time was very reasonable, the sound level in the dining room was conducive to conversation and on a very hot day it was very comfortable. We were asked a few times if we needed anything. We were very pleased.

Loved the Sunday special which was chicken or turkey and dressing with two sides for $9.99. Big portions and the best cornbread dressing ever. I had the side salad and fried okra.. both perfect. They throw a slice of white bread on top of the plate... wish it would have been a roll.Great tea, fast friendly service.Really enjoyed it all.Great menu ... go for it! Ps .. Park in the back..

Courtney provided a warm welcome to these out of towners and the atmosphere was very welcoming. Two of our party had burgers with sweet potato fries and one had wings with jalapeño poppers - it was all delicious. We highly recommend and will definitely be back!

We happened upon Brady's by mistake- but glad we did. My husband and I both had a catfish dinner. It was a nice sized portion of fish but the sides were small. The side of beans was excellent. Our food came out quickly and was very good. Nothing fancy, overall a good meal just a little pricey.

Yes, it's fast food, but a new and welcome addition. Fried chicken, delicious yeast rolls, vegetable choices, and salads. The service is friendly and prices inexpensive. The remodeled dining area (it used to be KFC) is attractive.
