Our family of eight stopped here for dinner on our way through town. Selected Rikâs due to the great TripAdvisor reviews and a previous excellent stop numerous years ago. Unfortunately, we were generally disappointed this time.Staff was very nice and accommodating, and we were promptly seated and ongoing service was very good. However, the food was hit-and-miss. The Southwest Reuben was very good, the sweet potato fries were excellent, but the beet/pear salad was very disappointing. The waiter did replace it with a Cobb salad, which is actually much closer to a wedge salad. Pasta dish was very lack-luster, but several other dinner choices were good. All in all, our expectations were much greater than was delivered on this occasion.

Our Civil War tour guide recommended we have lunch here. It looked more like a grocery store. You order when you enter and your food is brought to you. There is plenty of seating. Oh my gosh, be careful what you order because the portions are enormous. We ordered a variety of sandwiches and all were very well prepared and tasty. Be sure to go there hungry.

We walked from our B&B on the advice of our innkeeper. Very casual, lots of locals, you know, a bar! Limited but nice selection of draft beers, some local. Menu is surprisingly varied. Everything was very good and the portions were generous. Service is spotty, but they appeared short handed. Sign on the door said âcash onlyâ as their credit card system was down. The sign did not look new. There is an ATM on site.

I've been there 3 times now. Left satisfied each time and plan to go back. Mom and pop type restaurant in the small town of Myersville, not far off I-70. They have a reasonable menu as to selection and price. Some of the old time Frederick, MD folks told me about it knowing I like small town, one of a kind restaurants. I glad it has stuck around all these years!

We stopped at The Main Cup for dinner the first night after our wedding, before leaving for our honeymoon. The service was great, the atmosphere was friendly and the food was delicious. We were particularly fond of the Buffalo Chicken Dip, with pita triangles. I would definitely recommend The Main Cup for a meal if you are in the area and want some just plain good American food. I will definitely go there again if I'm in the area. Safe travels!

My husband and I haven't been here for probably 25 years, so we thought we'd go for lunch the other day. We sat up at the counter which was fun. We were promptly greeted and seated and given menus. Our waitress was efficient and friendly. Prompt also. Our food came pretty quickly and was good and hot. (We both got hamburgers which were delicious.) My low rating is for the lack of cleanliness: The counter was clean, however, the vent above us was filthy! Also, and this is my biggest negative observation, we observed our waitress handle cash three times without washing her hands- because in between the cash, she was slicing lemons for tea/water!!! For years, I have not taken lemon in my drinks and this is why. She cut those lemons up with dirty hands (money is extremely dirty!!!). (Ironically, she washed her hands AFTER she cut the lemons.) The sink was attached to the food prep area where she was cutting.- I mean, within INCHES of her work. (Also, she placed our dirty dishes in this food prep area also once we finished.) Employee t-shirts were also very visibly dirty- spotted and greasy looking. No, we won't be back. Unfortunately, this probably goes on every where. If we'd sat in the dinning room, we never would have seen any of this.

New Place with good food and a great bar.. As with most new places they have had some growing pains. The owner is totally working to get everything up to ten and is always looking for feedback on every aspect of the new place. Food and drinks are good and the wait staff is friendly and helpful. Sunday ticket for football any game you want to watch with specials on food and drink. 20 some beers on tap and more in the cooler so you should be able to fine one you like. Wings are great and sauces rock. I like the unbreaded ones but the breaded are good too. Nice to have options in a small town. Crab cakes were great too!

Talk about history. Since 1732, Old South Mountain Inn has been a remarkable mainstay in an ever changing world. Located at 6132 Old National Pike in Boonsboro, Maryland, this stately stone tavern sits atop scenic, historic Turner's Gap on South Mountain. Daniel Webster and Henry Clay rested here when it was a stagecoach stop on the old National Road. During the Battle of South Mountain in the Civil War, a prelude to Antietam, it served as headquarters for Confederate General D.H. Hill. It is close to Antietam National Battlefield, Harpers Ferry, Washington Monument State Park and Gambrill State Park. Today, it's a four-star restaurant that serves refined American cuisine in a Colonial decor. We started with shrimp cocktail, lobster bisque and tomato mozzarella salad with slices of fresh tomato with mozzarella cheese, basil and prosciutto ham with balsamic glaze. The entrees were amazing. My wife chose veal scaloppini Saltimbocca, veal sauteed in butter with prosciutto ham and fontina cheese baked with Madeira sauce and served with fettuccine alfredo and garlicky spinach. I recommend the Classic Beef Wellington, tenderloin of beef wrapped in a puff pastry with mushroom duxelle, pate and ham and topped with wild mushroom Madeira sauce and served with baked potato and fresh vegetables. For dessert, we shared a fresh strawberry crepe with raspberry sauce.

We had the Crab Club with onion rings and Portabella Capris Panini with hand cut french fries. Great presentation and great taste! We were the first customers in at 11:00AM and were given a choice of seating wherever......so we picked the table in the window of the bar section. Service was very attentive and we had an overall nice experience. We would go back again.
