Southfork has always been very fair on quantity of food. You shouldn't go away hungry from Southfork. The food we had is ok. For example, they use bag lettuce in their salads (not crisp and a little wilted). Their southwest salad had under seasoned meat with very little taco taste. They serve a steak fry that is cooked, but not crispy. Burgers were very good. The service was good and the facility was clean. I think their claim to fame is their beef (steaks and burgers) and the quantity of food. Everything else is ok.

Great buttery crust. Wonderful homemade fennel sausage. Cooked in a deck oven. One of the best pizzas ever. As of now, in my all time top 5.Honestly the crust and sausage are the stars. The flavors of it all together are really good. Make their own dough. Little heavy on the cheese for me. So i ask for light cheese. The must use mozzarella or a blend of it.In the Southeast Iowa town of Bloomfield. Gotta check it out.I have never had anything else on the menu but pizza. It has always been great. The flavor is outstanding. Have had nothing but the sausage pizza. And added pepperoni. The recipes came from Ted's pizza that was here for years. In southeast Iowa. . You had a bunch of Greeks come here to live and open shops up like this. This is an old Greek pizza recipe and is dang good. In the old bank building. You can sit and eat in the old safe if you care.I don't rate the food on atmosphere etc. You like pizza. You need to try this.
A friend and I stopped in here for a quick lunch before going to an appointment. This is a quaint place-nothing fancy, but clean, homey and a welcoming environment. Best of all, the food was excellent! They serve soup, sandwiches, and other short order type foods in a basket, which for me is a nostalgic thing! I loved it! You order at the counter, take a seat and before you know it your food is placed in front of you by a friendly, smiling wait person! It was fast! And as I said, the food was great--tasted like home cooking. Prices were reasonable, in fact typical for this type of food in this part of the country! I recommend the Farmer's Table!
