Find out what American restaurants to try in Blair. Blair is a city in and the county seat of Washington County, Nebraska, United States. The population was 7,990 at the 2010 census. Blair is a part of the Omaha-Council Bluffs Metropolitan Statistical Area.
This location is really understaffed. Walked in and everyone was serving drive thru. We had to wait until all those orders for fixed to even have our order taken. And the girls making the sandwiches didn't even acknowledge us for at least 5 minutes. The girl that finally did wait on us was very brusque and unhelpful. I had to ask several times where things were. Both my sandwich and my husband's were missing things. There was not a napkin or napkin dispenser in sight. By this point I was too frustrated to ask for anything else, so we just dealt with it. I have been to many JJs in different locations and this was not the freaky fast I'm used to.

A few months ago when I first visited the food was great with big portions and cooked to order. Bacon was crispy the way I like it to be. After several visits over the months, the quality of service and food has changed for the worst. It's a hot or miss! Maybe under new owners?

The food here is awesome. Best rideye and hashbrowns ever. It's like going back in time, the decor and even the tri-cup salad dressing holder they put on your table for your salad. No little plastic cup here! It's nothing fancy, but they could use a couple more servers, even though the servers we've always had were very attentive. The only draw back is they're only open on Thur, Fri and Sat. Plan ahead.

A family friendly restaraunt that features hickory smoked barbecued meats, broasted chicken, steaks, phillies and burgers. Catering specialists for groups from 10 to 1000.
Good variety of typical bar food plus good BBQ and meals. Always well prepared and reasonably quick. Chicken dishes take a but longer but that's worthwhile. . Their Halloween decor is something to experience.

Our ribeye and filet were great...really, probably the best steak I've ever eaten. Not a fancy place (definitely dated in a not particularly charming way) and hardly anyone there under the age of 60, but the service is great and you can't beat the steaks. Nice place for cocktails on the deck overlooking the Missouri River. One thing we thought was strange: You can't eat on the deck...deck is ONLY for drinks and appetizers and have to be paid separately from the dinner bill. So you have drinks and appetizers on the deck and pay for that, then go into dinner and pay separately for that. We've never encountered that before. Also, the staff, though nice, seemed to push the drinks/appetizers before dinner pretty hard. A little weird and annoying, but it wouldn't stop us from going back. And I have to admit, drinks on the deck is a pleasant experience. The cheese sticks we ordered were huge and cooked to perfection. The frozen margaritas weren't great. The steaks were excellent and reasonably priced. And unlike all the steak places in Omaha, everything isn't a la carte; instead, you get salad, homemade bread, a huge steak, and two sides for around $28. We didn't have desert, but their options looked good. You definitely get your money's worth here. Only open 4 nights a week: Thurs. thru Sunday and only serves dinner.

My Walleye sandwich was outstanding; my husbandâs burger was good. They serve cans of soda instead of fountains drinks (no refills). Prices were very reasonable. It looks like theyâre working on an expansion, which is probably needed on weekends (currently 4 booths and maybe 7 tables).
