I was shocked that this place isn't in Trip Advisor yet. It truly is a diamond in the rough!
We stopped in Idaho Springs for an early dinner after spending some time on Mount Evans. The high ratings Trip Advisor reviewers gave this restaurant were well deserved. We ordered at the front counter and were met by a very pleasant & helpful employee who guided us through the nightâs selections. My wife opted for the brisket sandwich and I got the brisket & pulled pork combo. The brisket was probably some of the best Iâve ever had, as it was tender & delicious. The barbecue sauces were great and the fries were nicely seasoned and crispy. The coleslaw was an added bonus, as it was delicious also. If youâre ever in the area of Idaho Springs Colorado youâve got to stop in at Smokin Yardâs BBQ and try the brisket. You wonât Be disappointed

Won a free buffet ...chose to use it for breakfast. So little choice... especially since they promoted as a farm fresh breakfast !Only about 25% of the buffet was actually open with food items. No pastries or donuts were included two choices of bread and a bagel.... they did have an egg station. The pancakes were premade and therefore cold. Really disappointed! My waitress was great she try to help me out by stealing some donut holes from the lunch buffet that was not yet open.I would not recommend this for breakfast

Weekend buffet includes lobster tail or whole lobster at $63 for two. They were overcooked and the tail on the whole lobster was 3 bites and hard. The carving station -prime rib stringy/chewy, turkey was average, ham was salty. Asian food looked old, lo-mein was mushy. Shrimp was still translucent or not fully cooked. Salad and mashed potatoes were ok. Other options such as steak tri tip and pork chops did not look fresh. Desserts of pies with canned fillings, stale cake and cookies. The ice cream saved the desserts. Service was good, and refills on ice tea quick

Ate here for a late dinner and had the place to ourselves. Beer and wine are less than $3.00. Hubby had the fish and chips entree and I had a bacon burger with fries. Both were good.

We had a 7:30 reservation and hostess Jamie got us seated promptly. Our waitress Deséree appeared and was wonderful through out the evening. She was a delight to talk to and her service impeccable. I order the grouper which came with salad bread and 2 sides. The salad was big and fresh with lots of veggies. Asparagus cooked to perfection , and the fish was delicious. Go hungry.

I had dinner here over the weekend. The steak and brussel sprouts were very good. Our server was fantastic. I felt like the value for the food ordered was great. My only complaint was the order in which the food came out. This is a big deal to me. I hate when all of the food comes out at the same time. Our seafood appetizer came out first. We ordered, soup, salad, main course and sides - this all came out at once. The waitress apologized and stated it was the kitchen. The meal was still great.Dear Valued Guest,Thanks for sharing a great meal with us recently. We appreciate your feedback on how we can improve the dining experience for future visits. We're glad that you left our establishment with a winning impression and we look forward to inviting you back soon!Kindest Regards,Timberline Grill

There were limited dining options at this casino, so we tried this place. Ambiance is really nice and the server was incredible. But the food was average at best. Pot pie: slices of overcooked chicken mixed with zucchini and half cooked, skin-on potatoes (who the heck makes chicken pot pie with zucchini?!?)...about a teaspoon of gravy....and topped with a huge puff pastry. Chicken parmigiana: Three McD's-like chicken tenders over pasta with sauce...???. Pasta special was okay, but little to no taste. There's nothing else I can say about this place.Hi Parker,We hate seeing mediocre reviews come through. We will take your honest feedback on the dishes you tried and forward to our top chefs to further explore how these items can be modified to increase the quality and flavor.Sincerely,Fireside Kitchen
