The Village is hidden off of Hwy 395 but well worth the effort to find and enjoy. In the winter, a gas burning stove keeps the dining room warm and the coffee hits the table as you do. A wide assortment of choices for breakfast (I've only eaten there for breakfast) that are tasty, well presented and with service that is quick and with a smile. Definitely a locals favorite.

For more than 65 years Denny's has been bringing people together over great food. It's the place where people can relax and be themselves; where they can enjoy classic American comfort food and everyday value. 24 hours a day. 365 days a year. Here, you ca
iâm normally very forgiving when it comes to the staff of restaurants. This morning we pulled into the Dennyâs in Bishop. The parking lot was full Which meant we have a little bit of a wait. When I got inside they were unbussed Tables. We receded rather quickly and then proceeded an extremely long wait for anyone to even recognize someone was sitting at the table. This is where inexperienced server would rush waters your coffee to a new table. Are wait person poured coffee and waters for tables that have been sitting around eating. These are people who already have food and beverages. We were totally ignored for 20 minutes and then told coffee and water will be on their way.Another five minutes went by before we saw our first cuppa coffee or should I say our only cup of coffee. I must say the food came out of the kitchen really fast. Even after asking for refills on the water and coffee they never came. It was a travel day for us so it was important to get in and get some food and coffee before hitting the road for 6 Hour drive. I was extremely disappointed at the service at this restaurant and I will never ever return. Since itâs a national chain I will probably never ever go to one of these no matter what city Iâm in. Once I paid the bill and we loaded back into the car we drove down the block and found a Starbucks. Did I say that this was the worst service Iâve ever reviewed here

Cardinal Cafe is closed for the winter. Reopening will be the last Saturday of April.
We love visiting Ken & ShaleAnn and ordering a yummy pancake (my husband and I split one!) for breakfast or a yummy cheeseburger (they grill the cheese on the sides a bit to make it a little crispy-YUM!). It's not the lowest pricing around, but it is yummy!! :DLooking forward to serving you again soon!

We had ribeye steak with mushrooms & it was delicious. What a pleasant surprise. Our server Rhonda was excellent in fact she even made our dinner reservations for the next night for us too. Very nice decor, friendly feeling inside and clean. We'll be back! Also dessert which we chose was berry pie alamode was wonderful.

We really enjoyed this place. The service superb, the food superb. It is sort of like a diner, but better. Older type decor, but clean. Just not fancy. The food was good. I got the hamburger club, asked them to hold out the middle bread. They did and it still came out great with everything else in there. A huge thing of fries cooked great as well. Friends got the salad, soup, and half a sandwich. For $9.99 you won't get a better meal in Bishop. The only bummer was I got a cookie when at the counter to pay. I think it is a 2-pack of cookies for $1.75. And I love homemade cookies. But these were too sweet. I had to throw them away. Couldn't finish one. So if a supervisor or manager reads this... please cut back the sugar in the cookies sold at the counter. Cut the sugar in half at least.

Had a walker Texas ranger burger that was one of the best I have ever had. It was in a cheese bus from the scents bakery with bacon, grilled onions, etc. Also had delicious garlic parmesan fried that were beer battered. A definite place to visit again

The prices were high, I thought. I ordered the captain's platter (a mix of seafood). I got 3 scampi shrimp, two fish stick like things and about 4 breaded butterfly shrimp. $20. The plates weren't hot. The salad had brown leaves in it. Rob ordered the lamb chops and they were tiny. His dinner was lukewarm. $18 for two lamb chops. We wouldn't eat here again or recommend it.

This restaurant is located several blocks off the main road through Bishop. We walked here for dinner on an overnight trip. The restaurant is very simple and relatively quiet. Service is friendly and efficient. The wine list is a bit limited but still has some good selections at reasonable prices. The food was very good. I had a caprese starter and buffalo meatloaf, both well prepared and presented and the meatloaf nicely seasoned. My wife had a Caesar and the fish special, again both fixed well. It was an unexpectedly nice dining experience for a small town.

Food great - lovely burgers, though expensive. Second time round I was served by an unfriendly lady who was unhelpful and made ordering a frustrating challenge. I shared my frustration with her, to which she simply smiled and went on her way - no apology or explanation. Shame - I hope this person doesnât drag the reputation down. Not the kind of service I would expect for those prices.

Zip code 93514. In recent years they opened a deli counter where sandwiches are made while-you-wait and you can take them out or eat them at the picnic tables inside the smoked-meat-shop. They continue to sell smoked meats, bacon, jerky, etc. in the groce
I have been here a few times in the past and bacon was always my favorite part of the sandwich. I wasn't super hungry so I got a BLT with Avocado. Very good! My friend enjoyed her regular BLT also. Good old fashioned food at a reason price along 395. It has been very busy anytime I have stopped to don't plan and rushing in and out but do plan for good food!
