We were traveling west across Montana and met up with friends going east at this picturesque restaurant. The ambience was remarkable. The food was wonderful. It was quiet enough we could visit with friends we had not seen for several years and we were not rushed as we lingered in good conversation as we dined.

Timber is a very nice place with very good food. It is nice place to eat and enjoy, even if you do not drink. They are family friendly and I really like them. I have been a patron of the Timber Bar since 1975

Food menu, yum! Philly cheese steak and the burgers, yes please! Portions are big! We golf all the time at the big timber course and will be stopping at the thirsty turtle for food afterwards all the time! I understand the signs on the foosball table saying "no kids" is not attractive (previous review). However, I would guess some parents weren't watching there children and ruined it for others. Food, atmosphere, and staff were great!

Fantastic find. Lots of food at a reasonable price. Facility was very clean. Waitresses were friendly. Service was quick, but takes a little time to actually arrive at table. Worth the wait. Bacon and sausage patties were excellent. French toast, biscuits and gravy were all good choices. Fantastic location right off the interstate. Don't be put off by the fact that it is in with a gas station.

Go back to the good ol' days at the Frosty Freez, where you can get a milkshake, burger, and fries in 50s diner style. We also serve breakfast! Take an order to go!
We ended up in Big Timber on Mother's Day Sunday where few places were open. We first stopped at the Grand Hotel only to learn that reservations were required. Someone there told us about the Frosty Freeze. We were greeted upon entering and menus were given to us. We each ordered something different--a toss salad, a sausage dog, and Nathan's hot dog and fries. Our food arrived quickly. It was good but hot dog & sausage dog came plain with no toppings. Ketchup and Mustard were on the table. Fries were OK. Food was OK, nothing special but we were happy to find some place open. Service was fine.
