Visited California Kitchen without a reservation and were able to get a table. The waitress was very nice but obviously very busy, so we had a bit of a wait to get menus. However the food was very good.

There are several burger joints in Biarritz and this is one of the better ones. The menu is small and concentrates on local ingredients. If you don't like burgers then there are other options such as salads.They have beers from La Superbe (only micro-brewery in Biarritz).

We stumbled on this restaurant just before the kitchen was closing at 3 on a Tuesday afternoon but they were still happy to serve us. We sat outside and ordered two burgers, one vegetarian for my wife and a rare beef one for me. The burgers were excellent as were the chips and salad with it. Service was good and waitress friendly and happy to go through the menu with us as it wasn't translated to English. Restaurant was quite large inside and nicely decorated with good toilets, a bonus in Biarritz it seems. Cost was good for what we had, would highly recommend.

We found moony on TripAdvisor and it was a great discovery as we eat here as we want a very good hamburger with some well done fries nearby. They have many hamburgers and also wraps and good salads, everything is good. Service is nice and gebtile and the blonde waitress is very nice.
