Reviews on American food in Bellingham, Washington, United States. The Pacific Northwest scarcely gets more peaceful than unspoiled Bellingham, a bustling city nestled in the Bellingham Bay. Nature abounds in all directions surrounding this coastal paradise. The waters of the Pacific offer opportunities for whale watching, cruising to Friday Harbor or visiting the Canadian city of Victoria. To the east, Mt. Baker beckons skiers and snowboarders to its slopes. The city itself is alive with vibrant theater, historical museums, gourmet restaurants and fine arts.

Expect stand by American NW dishes done very well. We had their soups and a sandwich. The clam chowder was buttery and thick with clams and potatoes. Maybe the best I have had in quite a while. The sandwich was generous and an imaginative curried chicken. Nice in combination, or alone. Others had sandwiches as well. All reported liking what they had. The room was wood paneled and pleasant. It got a little noisy with animated conversations at some tables, but quieted down appreciably over time. Nice place. I'm recommending it to friends who visit Bellingham.

Specializing in gourmet breakfasts and lunch we serve real made from scratch food in a bright and spacious atmosphere.
Casting about for a new place to try, we stumbled into this recently opened establishment on Meridian. Breakfast was clearly their prized time, but we had lunch and my Reuben Sandwich was good. I would suggest they need a "Please wait to be seated" sign in the foyer, since one is tempted to just walk in -- and that's not their game plan. In our visit the service was pretty slow, so I'm uneasy about how they could handle a big crowd. Maybe they were short-handed that day. And finally, I know this is an unwelcome thought, but is the BD menu and food really much different from Denny's right down the road? The restaurant has many enthusiastic reviews. Try the place and see what you think. Bon appetit!

Tucked away in the Chrysalis Inn & Spa, this restaurant is a bit unassuming, but hides some terrific food and drink. I was there with family, and our server took care of us very well. We had Martinis and Manhattans, and nobody complained. We started with delicious crab cakes and mussels that were perfectly cooked, and broth so tasty, I could have had a barrel of it. The mains were just as great. I love the seafood in Bellingham and had their head-on grilled shrimp - the char really made a difference. Others had cob salad and steak. Everybody had big smiles. The prices are high, but so is the food quality and service is excellent.

Absolutely loved the food, the service, the ambiance and wish like crazy that we didn't live so far away!Thankfully the other restaurant we were going to dine at was closed for renovations. We were beyond delighted to make the decision to keep driving and go to Anthony's. My, my, my! Where to begin. From the minute we walked in until the moment we left it was the most wonderful culinary experience. How I wish my metabolism could have handled one of the 4 course sunset dinners. But, alas. I opted for the chop chop seafood salad and my husband ordered the tenderloin filet. My salad was perfect with the seafood being so fresh and the other items also the best quality. My husband loved his steak as much as any steak he's every eaten. I had a bite and it was literally melt in your mouth good. We enjoyed our dinner so much. Happily we had room for dessert. So we decided to try the berry cobbler. It came with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. Heavenly! This may be a seasonal item because I don't see it on their menu online. We lucked out if that is the case. This is definitely a top class restaurant. They pay attention to every detail. Lovely white linen tablecloths, very comfortable seating. Enough light that you can actually read the menu, but not too much that it inhibits the beautiful natural lighting coming in from the outside. There is not a place to sit that you don't get a wonderful view of the bay. The waiters are impeccable. I hope we can come back again one day!!Hi there! We are so glad that you joined us even though it was not in your original plan. It sounds like you had an outstanding evening and I will be sure to share all of your great comments with our team members! We really appreciate you taking the time to share your experience and we hope to see you again! ~Taylor

We had a colophon sandwich, a salmon burger and two lemonades and the bill was $ 42. So I really wonder why this is considered to be a cheap place to eat. Anyway both sandwiches were freshly made and tasty and the service was fast and friendly.

Boundary Bay Brewery opened in 1995 & we've been making great handcrafted beer and fresh, local food for the Bellingham community ever since! Our brewery houses a Tap Room and family-friendly Bistro, located in a restored historic 1922 warehouse in Downto
During our Canadian Thanksgiving weekend we had the pleasure of introducing family members who were not familiar with Bellingham to places that we love. Naturally we had to take them to the Boundary Bay Brewery & Bistro. As ever the food and beverages (this time during their Happy Hour) did not disappoint!

We loved the entire experience, particularly since our waitress (April) remembered us the second time as well as our drink order! Excellent menu, nice wine list and good drinks. The view of the harbor is outstanding, particularly at sunset including the afterglow.Hi there! Thank you so much for taking the time to share this with me. I am so glad to hear that April provided such wonderful service and that it was paired with great food. I will be sure to pass your comments along to our team and we hope to see you again soon! ~Taylor

This is one of my favorite breakfast places to eat. I love the eggs Benedict so much! Since I am gluten free I have it over potatoes. It always hits the spot. The coffee is the best! Not every great breakfast place has good coffee but it is fresh and perfectly brewed every time. The servers are sweet and I feel like I can stay as long as I like to do work if need be or stare at the wall (and unique art). Itâs a âmust-seeâ in Bellingham.

When available we often choose to sit at the bar for food service - place was packed with a big wait - no wait at the bar. Traveling through town on vacation and choose Asian Brewing because of Trip Advisor recommendations - good choice. Bison burger was â best burger I ever hadâ from husband - I had the grilled cheese and tomato soup and I have to say it was â one of the best grilled cheese â I ever had - and the tomato soup was spicy and good! Service at the bar was excellent - everyone working in the restaurant were working as a team - you could tell they all liked what they were doing and doing it well. Highly recommend Asian - choose here over Boundary Bay Brewing!
