The pizza was okay. Great location though right near the ice rink. We did carryout, so I can't comment on the inside.

Yes- it's expensive but how often you do take a sleigh ride to a restaurant??The ride was lots of fun-especially on the way down, when we had the funniest guide telling us knock-knock jokes for the kids. He made trip so memorable! Although it was cold, the waterpoof blankets were extremely handy. The cozy log cabin had an open kitchen and live music (not too loud and appropriate genre). The five course meal with wine pairing was exceptional. My scallops were absolutely delicious despite being topped with bacon which didn't overpower the seafood. Mouth-watering banana toffee pudding was a perfect ending to the meal. The service was excellent but the only negative was the sommelier who knew the back stories of the wines but didn't provide enough detail about the wine's texture etc. Our waitress however, could easily provide the appropriate information about the wine. There was a subtle pressure at the end of the evening to finish our meal in time to catch the sleigh ride back down the hill. Another minor issue was that they didn't have slippers in a men's size 15, otherwise, we had a wonderful evening.

Like all Americans, the cuisine at the Blue Plate, Avon CO has ancestors from around the globe. They call their world-inspired food "Americana cuisine."
My wife and I went here on a Friday night,The tapas menu was very enticing with more appealing items than we needed. The wine menu is extensive and fairly reasonably priced, especially since we received a twenty percent off season discount on the wine. The soup of the day was excellent, the service was more than adequate, the only drawback we had was the caesar salad was the worst I've ever had. Easy solution, choose the Greek saladThanks for the feedback, John! We'll take your suggestions to heart.

The place was packed so service took awhile but friendly service. My eggs benedict were the best I've had! I loved the flavorful lemon chive Hollandaise twist, the homemade english muffin, the thinly slice smoked ham - fantastic! Next day went to our usual standby the Westside cafe in Vail, ordered the eggs benedict again and it didn't hold a candle to yours! I will review on their site to brag about you guys!

Excellent meal with exemplary customer service. From the host to the server and bussers the service experience was worked to perfection. Recommendations on chef specials, continued attentive service and even wheeling over a portable heater for our chilly outdoor experience. I canât say enough great things and I havenât even started talking about the food.....WOW!I ordered a couple of chef specials; the grilled peach palisades salad and the lingcod fish with white beans. Both were remarkable! The warm peach from the grill gently melted the point Reyes blue cheese into a heavenly combination with the bacon creating a magical moment to start our meal. The fish was cooked to perfection; crispy crust with a flaky and moist center. The white beans in amatriciana sauce absolutely sent me into a blissful moment. I could literally make a pot of those beans (wish I had the recipe) sit down to watch football and make a meal out of those unctuous freaking beans! Iâm serious! My wife took 1 bite (I was feeling generous) and she replied, âwow..I want your mealâ. Now thatâs not taking anything away from her flat iron steak she ordered, she loved it, Iâm just saying that those magical beans were ridiculous. Get the point? We loved the restaurant, the food, the staff and service along with the incredible Colorado atmosphere. Go have dinner here. Youâll be glad you did! Can I humbly beg for the bean recipe?

Perfection. The tomatoes salad and the octopus appetizer were beyond excellent, as were the Australian elk and the Alaskan halibut. The soufflé was prepared to order and was exquisite. The pianist/ vocalist adds a spark of fun. The waitstaff was wonderful.

We ordered two pizzas, the chicken bacon ranch and the dracula. Three of us preferred the chicken bacon ranch, but both were very good. The restaurant was busy but the service was still good. Thanks for the amazing feedback! It is so great to hear, that you enjoyed our pizzas!

Enjoy panoramic views, contemporary Colorado cuisine, award winning wine menu, fantastic service and live dinner music. A crackling fireplace sets the mood. Chef David Gutowski was recently invited to present dinner at The James Beard House in Manhattan wh
We had dinner here this week and enjoyed the nice setting outside on the porch. Food was good, but not outstanding. Except the scallops were extremely well prepared and very tasty. Nice service as well. But worth these high prices is a little questionable from our point of view ... although very used to high-end places like this.
