We were staying in the local area and stopped here many times for the ice cream and shakes. We ended up having lunch twice. I had a great roast beef sandwich and pulled pork on another visit. Pork could've used a little seasoning, but still good. All ingredients were super fresh. Excellent mozzarella sticks, french fries and onion rings. I had a orange creamsicle shake and it was AWESOME. We live back east and this food was incredibly cheap and the quality was excellent. You must go if you are in the area!

It appears that new management is upgrading equipment and facility in this older dairy bar location that was due for some upgrades. Glad to see it. Keep up the good work. Our order was taken quickly and the food came out in a reasonable time. We had sandwiches (Pork Tenderloin and a Hamburger) and fries. All was typical dairy bar fare. Food was hot and bun was fresh. Fries were tasty. Overall, nothing was bad... nothing was extraordinary. Food as expected, at a fair price, from a decent place, prepared in a timely manner. Lunch as expected. I'm sure that I will be back again.

In an area with little entertainment and dining choices the Lee County Recreational Center is a great find. They are a Rec Center that has bowling, table and video games, basketball courts, and a fitness center. To go along with this they serve the best p
Went to this Rec center a couple of times while in the area, and spoke to some of the employees and workers who helped run the center...extremely nice, sociable and informative of the area. The center offers bowling, billiards, ping pong, and even a fitness room. The center is a great place to hang out for kids, teens and a great community area that serves as a venue for the local bowling leagues. If you are rock climbing, biking, atv-ing, camping or whatever and in the need for something to do at night go HERE for the night and enjoy the center!
Some of the best pastries, cakes, doughnuts, pies EVER!!! They make their own chocolate and use only the finest ingredients. It shows. Something you would expect to find in a metropolitan area, not the small town of Beattyville. It would be worth traveling within a 25-50 mile radius to get the chocolate mousse cake. Seriously, just go. Selections vary each day so make sure to check out the Facebook page for details on the menu that day.

This is normally one of our favorite places to go when visiting the RRG. Before our trip on July 4th I checked their website and Facebook and they'd made no announcement of closing, so we passed by other restaurants that were definitely open to make our way here. We arrive to a closed restaurant and a dog barking inside. This trip could have been avoided if they'd simply posted that they were closed. However, this did allow us to go to Skybridge Station for the first time and it was great.
