Things to do in Beatrice
The atmosphere is nice, nothing fancy, but clean and enough room for larger gatherings. The prices seemed reasonable. The salad was fresh and crisp. The fries were crispy and a decent-sized portion. My companion liked the sweet potato tots. The beer menu is typical, with the usual suspects of domestic and a few craft beers. The hamburger steak smothered with (slight extra charge) onions and mushrooms was good, as was the pork tenderloin sandwich. We also had a side order of fried shrimp. The shrimp were tasty, but the batter was a bit different. The food took a while to get done; but that was OK, since we knew it was getting freshly cooked. We would eat here again, and we would like to try some of the other selections.
Went there for lunch. The waitress was nice & friendly. The prices were not bad either. There were alot of regular customers there that our waitress called by name. Food was good, & good prices. Would recommend this place to other people who happen to be in Beatrice, NE.
We stopped here 3 times for breakfast & lunch, when we were in Beatrice, NE visiting my sister. The place is a truckstop, but the food is great. Our waitress's name was Anita. She was full of all kinds of jokes, & a great personality to go along with it. The place was always busy, with truckers & the regulars. We made fast friends with Anita too. I didn't want to leave. I hope that the managers of this place know how valuable Anita is to them, & how welcome she made us feel. Thank You again Anita, for making our visits enjoyable.

With a name like Valentino's one might think they were dining Italian. Well kind of --maybe. When we walked in we were greeted with the question: soda or water? Well that took care of no chianti or montepulciano tonight. We paid the cashier and went inside to see what we had just purchased. A buffet table offered a few salad ingredients, fried chicken, fried shrimp, shepherd pie, pot roast, lasagna, 6-8 different pizzas. Another table had a few other offerings like mashed potatoes. One could eat all they wanted. Dessert consisted of some cookies, an apple crisp, ice cream, and something else. We looked around--no spoons for ice cream--they would have to go wash some. There were lots of knives and forks but no spoons. Well, about 5-10 minutes later a staff member brought 2 spoons out. Go figure.

We went here for dinner when another restaurant was full and got a wonderful surprise. Excellent BBQ menu with large helpings and low prices. Service was so great I never even noticed my glass being refilled. We were greeted and seated right away even though they were doing a brisk business. Our server thanked us as though we were family when leaving. And did I mention the food was heavenly. We had a pulled pork sandwich and a carved chicken sandwich. Both meals were incredible and made that BBQ chain restaurant where we eat at home look bad. The bill was pretty reasonable too. Would not hesitate to eat here again!

When I discovered that Classics was at a country club, I thought "snooty." I was wrong. The place isn't pretentious at all. The food was delicious and the prices very reasonable. The dining room looked "fancy,"and maybe was. But we ate in the bar area. The menu selection was large. I'd recommend it.

My friend and I were to meet at another place but it was closed so we tried this one. Very nice find. Food was good and the customer service was great. We'll go there again because there are other things on the menu we want to try. Including some delicious desserts.

stopped in for supper during a weekend road trip, greeted right away as we walked in. seated just as quick. very friendly hostess. wait staff dropped off menu's and took our drink orders very efficiently...very informative about specials and menu items. i had the prime rib with garlic smashed potatoes and green beans, the prime rib was done right and lean...potatoes very good also. my wife had the spinach salad with grilled chicken...also very good. the artichoke dip for an appetizer, not to salty, very tasty. definitely worth a detour to eat here.Thank you for your business and kind words. We appreciate both very much. Hope your weekend trip was a good one, and glad we could contribute. Come back when it has warmed up, we have a new outdoor dining area, Crow's Garden.
