Reviews on American food in Baltimore, Maryland, United States. Since the redevelopment of the Inner Harbor in the late 1970s, Baltimore has set the standard for urban renewal. While a good part of the city's action centers around the fun and festive Harbor area, where street entertainers, open-air concerts, fireworks and parades abound, the surrounding neighborhoods offer all sorts of interesting landmarks, unique shops and delicious restaurants. Wander around Fells Point, the oldest section of Baltimore, reminiscent of an old English village, complete with pubs and cobblestone streets. Take the kids to the aquarium and check out the imaginative creations at the American Visionary Art Museum. Or stop by the Babe Ruth Birthplace and Museum for an in-depth look at the Great Bambino's life. Baltimore is also renowned for its African-American heritage sites, plus festivals and cultural events that take place throughout the year. From historic places and harbor cruises to family friendly attractions and fabulous neighborhoods, Charm City is one of the top tourist destinations in the United States.

Change of hours due to volume of business
Made the couple block journey off the beaten path to try this restaurant and was pleased we did. Upon arrival for lunch we were the only ones there besides one guy at the bar. Worried us a bit but we went ahead. Small place with a quaint atmosphere.Server was friendly and quick. The crab cakes were delish and the pasta salad was a good side to have with. The only thing different had at our table was a meatball sub and my son said it was pretty tasty as well.Definitely make the stop!

As expected on a Sunday just before noon, it was crowded and there were 6 of us, but it was well worth the wait. Everyone thought their food was great. I had the berry waffle sampler, and there was a ton of very fresh fruit. Others had the Gravy Train Southern Skillet, Eddieâs Beef n Eggs, and the Crab Happy Chesapeake Chicken Sammy. The âSpicy Andouille Sausageâ to be very tasty, but VERY spicy. A bit much for me, but if youâre into that youâd probably love it. Wish we had had room for desert. Definitely worth more visits. Yum! Thank you so very much for sharing your review with us. We sure hope to see you back again soon!

Amazing menu, amazing food and so much of it. We had Sunday brunch and could not have been happier. I had a lovely delicious healthy GMO free option while the rest of the family ordered practically everything else on the menu. We were all very happy. Food, ambiance and service were all excellentThank you so much!

Great place for breakfast (all day on the weekends). Can recommend the Captain Crunch French toast and the Sweet Baby Jesus (Crab, hash browns, eggs, hollandaise sauce). Very small so be flexible when arriving. We were there at 9am Monday morning, not that crowded but Sunday afternoon the line was way out the door. Not sure whats up with the decor (every celebrity portrait was ghoulish, except Johnny Cash...)

Thanks to all the tripadvisor reviews we ended up going down to Baltimore for one night from Hershey, PA. Our quest was for the best crab cake and our mission was accomplished.Location is outside of Baltimore close to Morgan State in a little neighborhood corner bar. I love corner bars so it was right up my alley. Parking was hard to find - FYI.Now my wife and I lived in Delaware for a few years and would drive down to the Inner Harbor a few times a month. Love the Italian area and Fell's point. Have been eating Maryland Crabs and Crab Cakes for over 20 years. Used to go to Obrickys (??) before they closed down around 10 years ago, maybe more? Anyway, Koco's crab cakes are the best hand's down we have ever had. They are an 11 ounce softball size ball of 95% crab meat with 5% breaded filler to hold them together. Now they are expensive until you put into perspective:1 - they are huge and one crab cake is enough for two people. That said I would never share mine :)2- some things are worth and these are! My wife made a very good point when we were debating to order 6 to take home! She said you know you pay $25 for a lobster roll on a small hot dog bun and little lobster meat, so true. Plus we like Crab better then Lobster anyway. We were going to give two crab cakes to our neighbors across the street and two to the neighbors right next to use becuase we all have dinner/drinks at each others houses routinely. We ended up only saving 2 and when we had them over that week we just served the two as an appetizer. They could not believe how good they are.I will never go back to Baltimore again without a first stop to Koco's. In fact, I might look for a Marriott (my go to hotel chain) as close to Koco's as possible and go there both days and maybe go to the inner harbor :)

We pride ourselves on preparing our from-scratch menu with fresh seasonal ingredients and a whole lot of flavor. Our cozy, intimate dining room is the perfect setting to enjoy a seasonal dish and a glass of carefully chosen wine or beer. A favorite among
I did extensive research before deciding to plan a large dining party in Baltimore and chose this restaurant in the end, due to the fantastic reviews. While I will admit that they have some strengths at the restaurant, I think that these reviews are incredibly inflated, after the experience I had there. The food was decent, and the best dish I tasted that night was the octopus appetizer. It was tender, flavorful and cooked to perfection. It was prepared well with accompaniments that actually added to the taste and mouthfeel. I took the server's recommendation for entree and had the scallops. They were tender and cooked well. However the accompanying squash puree and Swiss chard were so strong and heavy that they drowned out the delicate flavor of the scallops. I think that this dish died by design, and with more thought could be much better. The main issue I had with the service was the fact that in the middle of our dinner- soon after the entrees were served I was presented with the bill and told "we're closing now." This was a shock, as there was no warning whatsoever about the kitchen closing, or even the bar. So we were never given the opportunity to order dessert or anything more. I had made plans with the management far in advance and they knew this was a special event I was planning. Anyone in such a position should have known that we would want to dine later and if we couldn't would at least warn us before the kitchen closed- let alone the whole restaurant. We had been waiting for the dessert menu and without warning they just kicked us out and closed the restaurant. I believe this could have been handled much better and IMO it is a sign of poor management. This is not a restaurant I can bring myself to ever consider trying again, considering the experience I had.

Your ship has come in. The Capital Grille in Baltimore is located right in the Inner Harbor. A location every bit as special and impressive as our restaurant is. Come and experience everything from our famous dry aged steaks and chops to exceptional seafo
This national chain always provides elegant surroundings with above average food and excellent service/wine. Had the caesars salad which was the authentic version with fresh anchovies (minus the coddled egg) with lobster and crab cake which was good with minimal filler. The service was very attentive and expert and the surroundings elegant. Always a winner.

I went with four other family members for lunch on a Friday. It was very pleasant - wonderful food, good service - if I am in Baltimore again, would certainly go back.

Charleston is Chef Cindy Wolf's signature restaurant whose cuisine is rooted in French fundamentals and the Low Country cooking of South Carolina, engaging both regional and international influences. The restaurant offers an extensive prix fixe tasting me
We had dinner recently here with friends. I started my meal with the corn soup. It was good but heavy, and I decided that if I were going to get through the courses without feeling too full, Iâd better give the last third of it to my husband. Next I had the âbeet tartareâ which I liked very much. Thank you Cindy Wolf for not putting goat cheese in the beets. As always I liked the shrimp and grits, although I didnât necessarily need to see the shrimpsâ heads. And my foie gras was a nice finish to the savory part of the meal. My husband and I shared a chocolate pot au creme and a peach cobbler, both of which we liked. His only disappointment in the meal was the fig salad. He thought the peaches and pears in it were not quite ripe. He would have liked more fruit in the salad but fewer fresh figs. The pears and peaches also appeared to be not quite ripe. The iced tea was delicious, and the coffee was good. Our waiter was very friendly and helpful. The young man who brought our courses could have spoken more slowly when he told us what was in each dish. Both little appetizers were very good, although the soup was too spicy for one of our friends. The restaurantâs atmosphere is elegant and relaxing with the tables nicely spaced. All in all, it was a very enjoyable evening. This is our go-to place when we want to splurge on a leisurely meal with friends. I like the mix of dishes that have been on the menu for a while and the new additions.I thank you for joining us at Charleston and for taking the time to leave such a favorable review, Ruth. Your compliments are truly wonderful to hear. Though I am pleased that you enjoyed most every aspect of your meal, I do so apologize for those occasionally missed marks. We would love to welcome you back soon so as to provide you with an even better experience!

Dedicated to the Irish tradition of hospitality and good times, Tir na nOg is a friendly neighborhood pub located in the heart of the Inner Harbor. Tir na nOg is where friends and family get together and celebrate all that life has to offer.
You have your choice of indoor or outdoor seating (overlooking the harbor). We ordered the brie & apple sandwich, burger and pulled pork. All were delicious. The server was friendly and fast. The beers were cold. I'd definitely stop again!Hello DMDP,Thank you for your kind words. We hope to see you again soon. Cheers!!
